One company tried the idea in Finland. Customers could rent a doll with flat rate of 100€/hour. Only after 1st few days their most expensive 4,5k$ doll was badly damaged and after a month they had to announce her "dead". Whole company went under in a year. They didn't get enough customers, but still got too many who wanted to have very rough play or enjoyed beating their ladies.
That Canadian company might have a change as they seem to state that "if customer damages the doll, he/she is liable". However I still am afraid that their flat rate of "$189 for two hours or $289 per night" might be too low to cover the cleaning/repair costs, specially if customers cause damage which can not been seen immediately from the doll.
One thing is for sure - these dolls wont live long and happy "life", unless some lucky random gets adopted after his/her career has ended in brothel :/
