In due course I'll be reviewing one of these ladies, probably of the silicone variety, and taking some portraits of some heads. Knowing who's behind the manufacturer I'm expecting to see very high quality.

However, my lady missed her plane leaving before Chinese New Year so she's either stuck in limbo and will arrive fraught or she's stayed back quite deliberately to revel with her family.

I have enough information to know that the quality of the TPE production will be a good as TPE can be and if their silicone production is anything like, I'm sure of a very high standard.

Nice to see better armatures in the dolls. I was wondering why no one had created a ball joint surrounded by rubber for the seal. I have the same setup on parts of my half scale terminator and makes it firm due to friction (and housing scre tightening) rather than just over tightening.

Much nicer movements.

How do the ball joints feel to pose compared to the hinges?

The ball joints has a much larger movement scope, it's more stable and has longer durability in its life cycle.
The reason why the manufacturers don't want to make it is the cost. The mould development cost is very expensive. (I’ve seen the figures wow).

Not any doll manufacturers would want to spend so much money on this engineering.

It would push the prices up so high and make production far too expensive.

Maybe in time a company could take the leap of faith and invest in the design technology.

It is much more better than normal joint movement so much smoother with less force to apply makes for a truly unique engineered doll.

What the future could bring only time will tell I guess.
