My Carmen is broken

Post by vinylmaster13 »

Hi

My Carmen has died. Last Saturday her spine broke , I posed softly her on bed( Carmen was ok) , .... her .... , and when I took her to clean and leave standing , I realized that her spine was broken ( now she seems a cheap doll whitout skeleton and her torso moves everywhere) . So now It is very difficult to move and use . I have been thinking about the date of purchase ( I thought it was on July but I was wrong) and I adopted her on May . And now I feel in two ways : 1 : I have very bad luck and I bought the black sheep of all the Carmen's dolls . 2: this is a case of very high prices and low quality . As I do not have an x-ray monitor I used my hands to look for and feel Carmen's skeleton , and yes ,it is broken ( even she makes an awful noise if you try to fuck her) . I will contact Pipedream with warranty in mind ( one year they say) but I know they will not answer at all. So , I ask you If somebody has had the experience on repairing these kind of skeleton problems , if it is easy , difficult or I have to forget all about Carmen and bury her as my family wanted. I will try to put shots for you to see . Thank you all .

If such a thing as a one year warranty does exist, you better get started on it immediately, contact the company in every way you can, you will probably have to be an expert doll repairman to properly fix major spine damage, and make it look as if nothing ever happened, eventually if you keep moving and using the doll the spine will work itself through the TPE and outside the body.

damn so,sorry bro. I thought the cheap crappy amazon dolls were the only ones that suffered spine breaks. Cant believe a higher quality doll that is TDF approved would break too. How old was she? did you bend her back joint alot? hope it gets resolved.

So sorry to read this. Are you able to determine if it's the spine itself or a joint that has failed? (I'm just thinking about the possibility of repairs.)

hi
The doll is five months old (this year's May and a month and a half without using her at all) and I have never forced her joints at all , her movements at home are : from the wardrobe to the bed = a 150 cm way and to wc = four meters , always misionary fucked , cleaned and to her coffin .To be sure what has broken I must open the doll and , if there is a warranty I cannot do that because they will say I have manipulated the doll so, I must keep my hands far away from the tools until they say something(that they will not do , they never answer in these cases but , I have to wait a bit from the moment I send them the photos and start the surgery). Of course I have been thinking about how to repair : an iron T cut in two parts that will leave Carmen with a rigid spine but repaired . It seems that the spine and the joint have cracked and the joint is inserted in the leg's part and the spine runs free . I cannot use my endoscopic camera to see the inside , I thought inserting it trough the neck but it is glued to the spine and I have not used the camera for that reason. Of course the most I move the doll the most the spine is cutting the inside so, I am not moving the doll at all . I have had inflatables lasting more than Carmen (all my last ones that I still have) .I have been busy( I lost my job last year and I am still looking for) and I have not taken the photos , today I will try . :glou: :glou: :glou: . If I repair the doll well I will call her Karmen the zombie doll :haha4: :haha4: .

you will need to cut her back open very careful where she broke to see the damage, from there we can all try to come up with ways of fixing her

Sorry to hear that- I know how sad and frustrating when one of these ladies break- my Cammy has developed so many joint issues that I have all but retired her. Luckily she's just a fabric doll so didn't cost as much as TPE ones but still...you'd think a $700+ fabric doll should last better than this.
Best of luck getting this resolved. I've dealt with Pipedreams many times in the past and they've always been very responsible with replacing/fixing damaged items. Sometimes it may take them awhile to sort it out, but in the end they always came through.

Contact the vendor before cutting into the doll... if the vendor is not willing to stand by their warranty then let us know here on the forum... also so they cannot change their warranty take a screenshot of the warranty info before contacting them.

Surgery should be your last resort if you which to keep your lady... :glou:

I don't think any manufacturer has been immune from a broken skeleton problem at some stage.

Pipedream dolls are certainly not cheaply made and have quality commensurate with other TDF manufactrurers.

How a manufacturer deals with a breakage issue however, distinguishes the best.

Best wishes

I have bad news for you if it's a TPE doll which it looks like. There is no repair that can be done and have the doll look ok. You have to cut too far into the tpe and it won't look good. I know this as I've been down this road years ago.

Good morning all

yesterday I sent a message with photos and the Amazon's receipt to support@pipedreamproducts.com . I fingered the doll a bit more and discovered what has been broken ( I think , maybe I am wrong) : the spine ends in a semicircle and has two wires , one in front and one in the rear part and then comes the legs' chassis that has maybe a seven centimeter long rectangle as a kind of " road". The fact is that between the spine and the chassis there is a ball , an iron ball I suppose that is used as a ball joint in cars' steering . What has broken is one of these wires ( I think ) because one is very soft ( the rear one and the ball has gone away leaving Carmen as you see her . Even I cannot find the ball , maybe a Gremlin took it . I repeat that this is only what I have felt fingering the doll , maybe I am wrong but, If the skeleton is done this way It is normal what has happened , that is a very poor design ,cheap and fast but not the best for longing . Yeah , the idea is opening the doll in 15 days ( the time I give pipedream to answer ) . Right now using the doll is a mess because it cannot be moved without problems and even spine hits the other part making a metallic sound when you love her , what I will find inside is an" I do not know" , but the idea of a rigid spine inserting a T form metal clamp is very strong in my mind ( there are some of those Ts that are in two parts and then united with bolts , I have found some of 2 inches that will do the work well) or maybe I get angrier and trow the doll through the window :haha4: :haha4: or send it to pipedream for them to eat with sandwich bread:evilbat:. I hope I will the only one with this shit and all of you enjoy your dolls for years :glou: :glou: :glou: :glou: :glou: :glou: :glou:

I wouldn't keep moving her like in the pics, all that is doing is ripping up her insides from the sharp broken parts. Best to leave her alone till you hear back from them. If they cant help you then they can at least send a photo of her skeleton so you get an idea of what it should look like.
