Yeah, as a newbie myself, the weight threw me for a loop a bit lol. I had read how much it weighed, and knew I could lift it, but realized only after unboxing that there is a right way to do it, and a painful way to do it lol

Absolutely. Lift with the legs, as much as possible. Keep your back as straight as possible. Keep your head 'up', as much as possible. Keep the doll as close to your chest, as much as possible. Have a plan of exactly where and how you intend to land her. Keep obstacles out of the way BEFORE lifting.

ETA: OH yea, keep on eye on how the dolls hands are to avoid over flexing. And don't get poked by her fingers.
