Using a blindfold

I was wondering if using a blindfold like this could damage the doll's face ?

I plan on buying a doll with opened eyes but it would be too creepy to sleep with something staring at me all the time so I was wondering if that could be an option.

I'm kind of bummed out by the lack of closed eyes faces. That would be awesome if there was a closed eyes model for each faces.

Well, you would run the risk of both compression marks and staining with that. You might want to look into NannequinFan"s Easy Move Eyes. They come with eyelids that will let you close her eyes. They're a little hard to get, as he only makes a few at a time, but they're totally worth it.

I use these for my own sleeping and they have stained white pillow cases so I would avoid. If you wash them to reduce the risk of staining they will soon start to fall apart. As far as I can tell these masks are made in China to a low price and there probably aren't any premium/top quailty ones (that might not stain) out there

Or you can just make your own eyelids :D

As far as staining goes, you can get a white sleep mask:

...but assuming you sleep with the lights out, who's to know if her eyes are open or closed...?

Why not re-adjust your perspective and think of it as your loving woman who’s like an angel willingly guarding you, looking upon you as you sleep? Why not imagine your girl always waking up early to receive your first waking smiles when you notice her gaze?
A little imagination goes a long way

There’s the slight concern of damaging the glued eyelashes too when using blindfolds, and I feel that we might best place our main reasons for getting closed eyelids etc. as a step towards helping our doll upgrade and become more expressive, instead of simply being bothered by those never resting eyes

We often bond and get pretty attached with them anyway, so I imagine it a relatively small issue most would overcome via a little imagination. Unnatural stares through the night could be perceived as a loving gaze instead.

All the best

You could put a pair of sunglasses on her nightly…

I would recommend springing for the eyelids. There's something super endearing about waking up and she's sleeping there peacefully.

I have left one for weeks on my doll and have had no issues at all: no stain and no marks.

It's this one, but be prepared, it's expensive:

It is made of some kind of foam to avoid direct contact with the eyes. This also helps protecting eyelashes. The velcro strap is convenient and doesn't put too much pressure on the head.

Another solution would be to remove the eyes
