Oh darn back to drawing board
Well when things get better and time to reseal Anastasia's lovely repaired hand ,
Do not used a soldering iron ! Panther68, they aren't the way as I have had disastrous results with them.

Ah I see you've watched Crazy Cajun's YouTube video showing the technic in closing the incision so you good to go then.

Here is what you'll need to get
And only the end of the rod being used for the repair so be careful not to burn yourself on exposed rod surface when working with this thing

And has handy holster

Also this here is very handy tool for small spots and holes https://www.amazon.com/Zega-Styrofoam-C ... B076QKHTHY

Also you need to have the tools above at a curtain temperature , it must be at 300 degrees Fahrenheit at the surface of the tool going in between the two surfaces you want to pinch closed for a great seal so you'll also need this tool to see the temperature https://www.amazon.com/HOLDPEAK-Non-Con ... Also when dipping the end of that heating rod into the opened wound on her hand you need to have a touch of vaseline on the wound area were it will be taking the heat as well.
The heat rod only needs to be in there for a second or two to melt each side at 300° F exactly
Keeping the heat on too long can break down the TPE so it's in for a second maybe two and back out while holding the TPE closed for about 30 seconds.
Careful not to touch your fingers with the rod buddy  that'd most likely burn ya and blisters from burns no fun at all believe me

Another tool for fixing TPE skin also using the 300°F rule of thumb is a heat gun but this takes a curtain level of practice to get right as the heat goes to the skin via hot air and the surface of the skin must stay at 300 throughout the procedure while moving the air on and off the area and then using cloth to texture the area otherwise gets real shiny and super smooth.
A heat gun https://www.amazon.com/Genesis-GHG1500A ... B00EU2T8GG

paired together with a bit of vaseline on surface as well and your laser surface thermometer in skilled hands can work wonders on damaged TPE surfaces.
Probably won't need the heat gun as the rod and pen should do the trick for Anastasia's hand incision closure.
Could come in handy if closure just needs a touch up but if pinched together at time if heating nice and flush it will look like new again or very slight scaring hard to see unless you know it there.
Great thing is the hands have creases in the first place so all is good if just a tiny scar there.

Alright folks, here's the eye bolt prototype.
It's a little beefier and thicker at the heel to allow for the bolt and give more strength.

One thing I'm concerned about is whether it will clear the wrist fitting when it rotates.
I need to have the eye bolt embedded as much as possible to have maximum strength.
Just need to run to Home Depot and snag a couple of eyebolts and I should have this ready to send to Panther in the next day or so.

EDIT:
Lol, took one look at the #206 eye bolt and it was way too small and thin.
So I gave it more power! (Tim Allen grunt) :D
The #204 eye bolt is almost 1/4" diam. wire (.23"). This makes the eye about the same size as the original plastic design which was 3/4" diam. The main plate is still 3/8" thick - just needed to thicken it up at the center around the bolt. The green thing is the fork in the wrist joint.

Hey DL

Will definitely get the items you listed for TPE repair, thanks for the input.

As long as I keep her liquored up she will keep smiling. She's a happy drunk. :glou:

Thanks for the comment everyone. It's kinda cool, testing these prototypes with all to see and give comment.

Hi Matt, thanks for the input. :)
Those are nice - just hard to find around here in the right size.

I think this #204 eye bolt will be just about perfect. It's just the right size and length.
Just needed to file off the point a little.
The deep lag bolt threads will make for a good epoxy bond.

I think it's going to take some considerable force to break these when they are all epoxied together.
The only bugger with this design is that it generates support material in the eye bolt hole.
With Up/Afinia printers, support material is easy to remove - some other printers may have problems with that though.

These printed out great - just need to revise the shape a little to avoid the rough surfaces.
Need to go back to straight sides with 45 deg. angle steps instead of the gentle slope.

Ain't she adorable

So how did the wires go in Panther68, I mean from the incision sight up threw the palm and into the fingers I'm guessing.
They go in pretty easy you say ?

Looks like a heat control bracket for a 68 Chevelle, but I will assume it's for a doll.
what are the dimensions of the base plate?
Going downtown. Gonna see my gal. Gonna sing her a song. I'm gonna show her my ding dong! C&C
