I'm pretty sure the bad placement is almost 100% due to fear of tearing/ busting through the wall between the two holes. If not for that reason, then why are they all so out of whack?

Chinese have the copy-mentality. If they find out something sells, they start producing similar items with flaws as well. WM was very successful in the beginning and other factories started simply copying their dolls not giving any thought for the LHP. My theory is that this is at least some of the reason why we have so many manufacturers with bad LHP.

Good LHP has nothing to do with material thicknesses. I have 100cm doll with both holes, no problem. We also have manufacturers which are good on LHP such as some 6Ye and HR models. SM and IT have also some decent models.

I think some companies also lack anatomy knowledge, but also the materials/skeleton used for dolls doesnt bend the same way as a human, lacks the movement such as when a woman bends over the pelvic also moves, you dont get that in dolls. So i guess it must be lack of testing and trial and error to get it to a hopefully acceptable standard.

I would think that a seller would like to give a good example. This is the bad example of the anal and vaginal placement. I dag into my porn collection and found poses similar to those represented at your pictures. You can clearly see the problem. This doll will not be a very good doggy style doll. SRSD, if you have good connections to manufacturers you could try to make them improve their products. Here my evaluation on some of the manufacturers:

Absolutely consistently bad LHP manufacturers are:
ClimaxDoll, SE-Doll and AiBeiDoll/Funwestdoll(same factory)

Old dolls bad, some improvement on some of the new models:
SM-Doll

Old dolls bad, great improvements on some of the new dolls manufacturers are:
SiliDoll, WM-Dolls and Irontech doll

LHP is MEH or quite bad manufacturers are:
JY-Doll and YL-Doll

These manufacturers have both excellent and bad LHP dolls new and old models:
6Ye and HR-Doll (same factory)

What to choose then?
If you want slim A-cup, then you could have a look at HR166 / 6Ye 166 (same doll)
If you want very lightweight well built B/C cup 161cm doll I would recommend SiliDoll Sukiwaai NXT+ or some of the 6Ye dolls in this size. I have 6Ye 162B.
If you want big ass, smaller tits BBW doll, then HR165 is your doll
If you want both big ass and big tits BBW, then 6Ye 161J is bigger and HR164BBW and HR166BBW are slightly smaller alternatives.

I have SiliDoll Sukiwaai NXT+, HR166, HR166BBW, 6Ye 162B and 161J

New IrontechDoll 175 looks extremely promising and some of the latest WM models look quite nice. Namely WM159C.

I recommend to try to get proper doggie and missionary pictures before buying a doll.

Siliconemans advice: If a manufacturer does not provide proper doggie pictures, you can assume that her LHP is bad.

With a bad LHP you will not be able to enter her vagina from behind in doggy position. (You might be able to enter her rectum, but not always)
With a bad LHP you will not be able to enter her rectum in her lying flat on her tummy position.
