Howdy folks, just to note there will be no EME sales tomorrow.
Still trying to catch up, and it's tax time again. Yuck! :|

Feelin' ya on taxes. Ugh.

Assuming Uncle Sam leaves me any play money, ballpark idea when you will have more EMEs?

Setevoltas, I should have more available this weekend (Saturday 2/16 2:00 PM).

Alright, I've finally made an executive decision :) on how to do the eyelids from now on.
In order to save a little time and keep prices down, I will no longer be doing the vapor polish and paint finish for the eyelids.
After some experimentation I think there's a better way to do this.

Instead of trying to match doll skin colors, I've found that using a 24hr creme eye shadow works really nicely right over the basic tan color plastic.
The stuff works like magic on these eyelids. It dries almost like paint so it doesn't rub off easily, but does come off cleanly with a little mineral spirits if you want a color change. Mineral spirits won't harm the plastic eyelids.

I found that the Revlon Colorstay product worked great and you can get it at Walmart (use the self checkout :) )
The eyelids are printed in 100 micron resolution now so the layer lines are hardly noticeable.
A little texture actually helps them take the makeup better...

What's also nice is that you can simply use the same makeup around the eye opening to blend in the eyelids.
This was just one color, super simple. To take it a little further, you could also blend in another lighter color on her brows - maybe a pinkish color to finish it off.
This "Caramel" eye shadow color worked nicely for the fair skin color...

Yep, that sheen/shimmer is really nice. Also, the creme makeup doesn't come off the brush and get all over the face like powder when you apply it to the doll.
They have a bunch of regular colors and a new line of bold ones also...

I also really like the little brush that fits in the cap. :)

Maybelline also makes a similar 24hr product called Color Tattoo.

Hi MF - Thanks for your industrious efforts with the V3 Head Stand! I looked far and wide for head stand options, and nothing else I could find comes close to being this functional and high quality. For anyone considering, it is worth every buck. Really nice that it has a weighty material inside the plastic so that any mounted head will be very stable. MF even provided the stand with magnets so it works with my Indigo magnet set!

Hey HC thanks and you are very welcome!
Yours was the first V3 shipped so I'm glad to hear it arrived safely and that you are pleased with it. :)

 I have the MannequinFan eyes in a WM157 head #162 doll at present - will the same set work in a JY-type doll head with no issues?

As long as the doll uses the +/-32mm half round eyes they should work fine.
Usually the only issue with the older version of EMEs was dolls with extremely deep eye sockets.
The new pedestal system now works better for that situation.

Hi Everyone,

I'll be taking next week off for R&D so there will be no EME sale tomorrow.
Some things I need to work on...
  • DIY kits for making your own EME lenses
  • Download section for print files (hand plates, head stands, jigs and other misc. items)
  • New how-to videos for eyelids, makeup, etc.
  • Update sale page with new items and clearer ordering instructions
Just a few things among others, so please stay tuned. :)
