A new Frightfully Tall Minx has joined Minoo’s minions… Gooliope!



And I acquired some new stompy kicks for her to sit on too!

This Gooliope Jellington MH doll has been languishing in a crate of stuff for years. Finally, she’s found her calling! I made a brief post about her some time ago. She’s one of the small series of super tall MH dolls… and the least loved of them.

Many people make OOAK custom dolls with this series of “Frightfully Tall” dolls… and some, such as the Elissabat doll, are frightfully expensive! But not Gooliope, the combination of her pink skin and molded-on goo drops make her unsuitable for most custom doll makers.

Of course, I had a solution in the box right next to her… dress her in Draculaura’s outfit!





Well… maybe. I’m still unsure of the exact roles that Minoo’s minions will play, but they are made up of a bunch of misfit dolls. A huge dressed Gooliope definitely fits that description… lol.

In other lair news… I flipped the blanket and put the shag on the walls, plexiglass over the satin floor and built some wraparound sides. I’ve got time today to work on it some more and hope to share some more progress.

Tried something new this morning…

A Hairdo Bag



Cedar has been pretty good at keeping her hair under control when we’re out… the other Minxes, not so much.

The problem is, when I keep wrapping and unwrapping them in their carry towel, their hair tends to get pretty disorganized. The plastic wrap that their heads are shipped with is too tight to keep taking on and off. I decided to just try a snipped off bag this morning.

Overall, it worked pretty good, but it was a devil trying to open it up with cold hands and put it back on Cedar. I think I’ll add a couple of tabs to each side with tape for our next excursion.

Oh, it’s not forgotten! But as mentioned, walking away from projects helps me get clearer on their next steps. I’m getting much closer to the painting stage, and have decided painting outside will be best. The weather is still a little too cold out right now. In any case… more beetle posts will be coming soonish!

Davey, thanks for dropping in! I haven’t decided if I will or not yet. I’ve had good success with the paint markers and am confident they will do a good job. These special feet have better looking toes than the stock Phicen ones, but in Real-Life, I’m actually not very fond of painted toenails. Jury is still out…

The new body for our Forest Friend arrived!


As I anticipated, the new “Dark Skinned” body color looks more “human” than the black-skinned body from the TBLeague Egyptian goddess “Bastet” set. When I first acquired the Bastet body, my immediate impression was that it was too black to look like an actual human. This was fine, because originally, I was going to create a dark non-human elven-like warrior for my Dragon Lancers.

But I know many other people bought these “Egyptian” bodies to make “people of color” characters, since Phicen had nothing to offer. But that has all changed now, at least for the female bodies. All the Phicen bodies have now been released in the new darker tones. But that apparently isn’t the only thing that changed…


She’s got no nipples!

I caught a note from one of the set-breakers I shop with that Phicen's new bodies will have no sexual parts… including nipples! Of course, I have several S40 bodies in the pale skin tone, and while all of them lacked undercarriage details, they all had nipples.

I’m not terribly worried about this, since I was never fond of Phicen’s nipple placement anyway. Plus, I already planned on doing something special with her breasts.


Y’all know how much I love my nipple shields…

Okay, not a fan of the lack of details. Those breasts look too round to me without a nipple to break it up. I really hope that they don't smooth over the tan and pale bodies too I don't do a ton of nude shoots but it would just be weird without something there. I do not have faith in myself to sculpt anything down there.

The color is good, though! The brown tint is certainly there but it is pretty dark, at least in that comparison photo. How is it to the eye? I can see vast differences just by switching the photo between my monitors!

I suspect it’s a reaction to social media censorship in general. You gotta remember, they sell to a global marketplace, and many places in the world are pretty strict on “sexual” content. It’s unfortunate… but a definite reaffirming of why I post my content on TDF!

Unfortunately, I believe they are gonna remove everything from previously released dolls too. I expect that once stockpiles drop and more are produced, we’ll know for sure. There may be info out there about this issue. I haven’t searched it out.

To my eyes, the surface of her breasts where the nipples were is a little irregular. But it’s likely to be unnoticeable… once I put something there for you to notice…

I knew trying to get a perfect photo of the two bodies’ “true” coloration would be impossible, but I think the obvious brown-ness of the new skin tone compared to Bastet is accurately represented. The new tone is definitely dark… and applying some eyeshadow to the surface might bring her to a more black tone easily.




Wildling Update!



I spent a few minutes getting her fit onto her body this morning.


Mostly, this was converting the small balls of her neck and wrists to accept full-size hands and neck plugs. After that, I started daydreaming about next steps… and what she should look like. I made a stop at the fabric store to look for bits and possible fur pieces to use as hair or other things.

But I bought nothing…

I realized at the fabric store that until I paint her head, I can go no further. So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how quickly I find my courage…

Talk like that makes me want to go on a body buying spree. Although, I've been talking about doing that for months and something else has always come up and taken my money... Lets consider this some motivation to make it happen!

I've been studying your photos hard and don't see anything irregular, or at least nothing that I haven't thought was a finger print or dust or something.

I love that Wilding pose! You've posted it in 3-4 threads now and I still love it!

What did you do to make the hands fit? Same tube trick as is common for the neck, but really tiny tube?

I used a “bead crimp” to increase the size of the ball. I thought I’d done a post about this a while ago, but a search through this thread only pulls up the mod I did on Minoo’s ankle pegs about a month ago…

The process with the wrist balls is identical, only with smaller bead crimps. I’ve used this process many times now on a lot of different dolls and it’s proven to be durable, effective and 100% reversible.

Oh, that's right! Sorry... I'm sure you'll agree that Minoo has a lot of interesting things about her and one of the least memorable of them all is her modified ankle pegs I forget that but I can remember there is a photo of her where the light hits her just right that the shadows play across her stomach and give us a hint of the subtle shapes hidden under the black fabric.

Honestly, when I come across any modification challenge in the future I should just search this thread and see if it's here before looking any further or asking questions!

Here's something I've been thinking about; the topic of the removal of sexual details from Tbleague bodies. You did this with Sky, but that was a method that someone like myself would never get the guts to do! What if there was an easier way, a method that was a little more foolproof for the average dude? TPE melts at approximately 100C. Since that's the boiling point of water it would likely be fairly easy for anyone to get something to that temp simply by leaving it in boiling water.

Before anyone thinks I'm going to let my ladies lounge on the Stovetop Spa, let's back up a step.

What is needed is a foolproof way to mold a vagina (nipples could be done too but with different breast sizes and curvatures it would be a little harder for a one size fits all solution). What my idea is would be to make a mold of a vagina. For simplicity you could take a casting of an existing doll. Once you've successfully done that and created a metal version the theory is that you'd heat up the metal then apply it to the doll. If you hit the magical temperature or got close enough with some pressure, you might be able to melt and mold a vagina onto them.

With your knowledge of modding and melting Phicen TPE, do you think there's any chance of this working, and more importantly, working well enough that it would be better to look at than a perfectly blank slate?
