The following is a special thanks and tribute to the works of Mishka and his wife, Jasmyn, as well as all TDF members who were with me in my time of need in spirit or in words.

The following will NEVER be posted anywhere else accept here on TDF. It will NEVER be posted on some website somewhere including my own, outside of my knowledge and without my strict written and signed consent.

Mishka and Jasmyn, thank you so much for this fantastic and very well done tutorial about repair of damage done to tpe dolls!

I must have viewed your video at least a half dozen times to make sure I embedded in my mind your strategy in regards to the repair of damaged tpe. Today, May 23rd in this year 2021, I was in desperation to make a most necessary repair to my Leila’s forehead.

On strictly and only the advice of fellow TDF members offering your tutorial to help me, I took the plunge on this day with your teachings, and hence deployed repair tactics to my doll Leila.

To illustrate what happened, it was during this exact photo that I did:

[pic1]

When I took this shot, everything seemed just fine. I was patient in making sure that Leila stood strong and firmly where I placed her with no support to remain in her position.

Barely a few seconds passed after this shot that Leila’s stance faltered, and with no time to react, she fell flat on her face! I was completely devastated by what I saw as the result of her falling.

[pic2]

Those that have knowledge of carpet-laying work, they know what a tack-strip is. For those that do not, think of a thin piece of wood with thumbtacks glued too it, pointing straight up. This is what is necessary for one room of carpet to transition to another room with more carpet. An unseen transition strip, if I can say so. It is the sharp tacks on this tack-strip that I believe punctured this hole in Leila’s forehead.

My full time job is repair and maintenance. Long story short, I fix what is broke in the mechanical arena. I fix dishwashers, disposals, refrigerators, wood work such as door-jamb repair, vanity floorboards and wood-work in general; I also am entirely immersed in the world of plumbing, including repair and installation of water heaters.

I also from ground up, work on furnaces and air conditioners. I can properly diagnose what is wrong with both and implement and conduct proper repair to both. I can also install both a furnace unit and an air conditioner condensing unit.

I am lengthy here, but my ultimate point is that I am very rehearsed with the use of heat guns and temperature gauges of all kinds. I feel that my already established knowledge of tools you suggest using in your video may have been personal encouragement to myself that I can do this!

With the skills and understanding that I have, I constructed this to hold Leila’s head while I proceeded to repair the damage done.

[pic3]

[pic4]

Yes, I did this work on a balcony, so I figured that I had natural winds for circulation of anything toxic, but I also just in case, added a small fan for good measure.

[pic5]

My initial instinct was to try the tpe glue. You pointed out that using the tpe glue could make it worse. You were correct, Mishka, and I truly do regret using the glue before I saw your video.

This is what my attempt at repair work looked like when I felt that I did the best that I could, before and the after of the powder treatment:

[pic6]

[pic7]

I work very hard for what I have. I have wanted Leila for almost 20 years, and now she is finally a part of my life. She is not just a sex doll, but she is also a symbol of all of my blood, sweat and tears to finally have something in my life that I have always wanted. I now know how to continue going forward should anything happen to her.

I rushed her make-up job, but at least she can now hold up her hair high!

Thank you TDF, and thank you Mishka and Jasmyn!

Glad the videos helped. We all get these damages in time, and learning by example really works.
Hope she is all well!

Leila is doing great and so am I because of that, sir. I honestly found in doing this that I had more anxiety than the torture in waiting for her to arrive after my purchase of her!

Before and after side-by-side. I got the shine out, which was my most critical grievance. Knowing I can make an another attempt at another time to make it better is my next adventure.

I just sealed up a broken back repair with the cheap hot knife from hft. If the rapair holds I'll do finish work, it seems tough so far! I used lots of mineral oil and inserted the knife into the opening, then I slowly dragged the knife down the slit and closed it up behind it.
If it doesn't open up again I'll Mishka repair the surface. It's worth noting that I was able to smooth the tpe easily afterwards, much like spreading peanut butter. The knife has 5 settings, I was on number 4.

Very useful, must try this on a slight foot abrasion (at the side, thankfully)!

TPE is just another type of material that can be repaired, just need appropriate tools and technique, not to mention those brave owners who pioneered this :)

Hello repair gurus  so the space in between my dolls vag and anus is tearing anyone have suggestions if I should use a soldering iron or heat gun and if I should try and close her legs or open them up?

Never attempt to repair TPE under tension, the speed at which it unzips will astound you

We've gotten through a couple rough repairs thanks to this thread and the tutorials
Wanted to say thanks Mishka!, I imagine a lot of dolls have been saved because of you.

Thought I'd share some of the damage and ask one question that's been on my mind since the last repair...

Our first big accident happened to my doll Penny's face last October. We managed with a heat gun and sand paper alone

More recently I botched an attempt to fix some of the vaginal tearing that occurred over a year, and made it much worse trying to use only the heat gun.
From left to right it shows what we started and ended with at first.

IMG_09261.jpg (618.9 KiB) Viewed 870 times
Then I did more research, and ordered equipment to alternate soldering in bits of TPE, hot spoon, and heat gun and had WAY better results
She's not 100% but looks way better than what she did.

Thought it would be good to share these results here.

My question now that this is through.
How well can a repair like this hold? If anyone has experience with a repair like this, it would be a big help...
I've been wondering if the repair is solely a cosmetic repair? The weld we managed feels solid, it doesn't seem porous or feel like it would fall apart. I'm wondering if she might still be functional

Skill and equipment will determine how well a repair turns out
Equipment is easy, skill comes from practice using the equipment to its best :)
