I have a lot of wigs from Amazon and they are truly hit or miss. Reading the reviews is key and making sure that they are recent reviews. I've had better luck with hair so fly, the quality is always good and they have a lot of stuff that goes on sale or clearance.

Bangs or not…? Just a matter of preference and style. Styles and colors can vary the price significantly.

Caps….basically how the hair is held together and applied to scalp. Lace front cap make a very natural looking hairline.

Waves, curls or straight. Those waves and curls are beautiful and makes lovely volume but also = more tangles and maintenance

Length - how long do you want?

Finally Fit- not all wigs are “one size fits all”. Have a good idea of your dolls head circumference as measured above the eyebrows to around the bulkier part of the back of the head. Wigs are made to be somewhat adjustable but fit a specific range of circumference.

Hey, thanks for this! That's a lot to consider. A lot more than I even began to consider. I don't think Amazon is going to have the filter specificity for this so I'll have to go on some dedicated websites. Hopefully I can keep the price under $75 US, maybe up to $100US per wig. I'm guessing just three (auburn, blonde and brunette).
I went to a local wig shop and when I saw it, Layla had to have it. it was a lot more than I expected (above $200) but she dazzles with it on. It’s an Alan Eaton collection.

I just got a wig from LuvMe Hair wigs and it is absolutely amazing. They have an Amazon storefront and standalone website, I ordered through the standalone website as they offer a Key Worker discount (veteran in my case) on the site.

I got this one: https://shop.luvmehair.com/products/1-s ... -short-wig

Of my 5 assorted Shein / Amazon wigs, this is a whole different level. It's real human hair, ready to go, and packaged amazingly. The quality and appearance is in a completely different ballpark than budget synth wigs.

The two downsides are: cost is definitely in the "real" wig category, at $100 - $150, (think I got the longest one at about $127 shipped after sale + military discount). And secondly, most of their wig catalog does lean more toward dark skin ladies' styles, just mentioning because it seems most owners here lean toward owning milky white dolls lol. (This is actually what I wanted, my dark tan doll is going to be stylized as sorta South American / Caribbean girl.) They do have some straight styles and short bobs that would look fine on white girl dolls.
Semper Meow. Just a combat disabled war vet weirdo.

I've tried a number of these and thanks for the suggestions.

The nicest one found to date is this red head from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BRV ... UTF8&psc=1

I think it looks pretty good compared to the factory wig:
