I'm afraid I won't live to see one that I ever will like. They need to lose the stick-figure movements first. And definitely never learn to say "Not tonight honey."

Yes, I saw that. It's just another hacked together article of preexisting material, all of which I've covered here in previous threads. That's why I didn't publish a separate thread about it.

They call that "rather impressive dancing routine from HRP-4C". I give it 1 out of 10. Terrible choreography and really boring to watch. The average car-factory has better robots. My biggest problem with that robot is that I can't see why they call it "super-realistic". It has written "robot" all over it.

Of course it is an impressive accomplishment for robotkind, and she can do so much more, but the youtube video is a big fail.

The HRP-4C is an awfully advanced robot, but the youtube video makes me finally use the word "retard". And believe me, I would never use that word on an living being. And never dreamed of using it on an machine.

Aww, it wasn't *that* bad, was it? It's awesome to see HRP can balance her weight, lift her feet off the ground without falling over, and execute some complex movements. It's good progress IMO. However, that youtube video is 3 years old? What has HRP done for me lately?

We need MOAR progress!!

And one more thing in regard to the title of the article... maybe a better article would ask, is there anything men won't want to have sex with? They cited 1 in 9 people said they would have sex with a robot. Umm, which people did they poll for that? That's waaaaay low and we all know it!
