My next doll project 'Hechi'

I'd like to make a doll -- a doll with a pronounced simplicity, sturdiness, and a character.

These are my rough sketches as well as the basic sewing/embroidery technique which I invented for this project. I recently made a bag, and this technique proved its value.

The doll will be called 'Hechi' derived from a Japanese word 'hechima' which means 'loofah' in English. The doll is to be loofah-shaped.

The doll is a partner doll so she'll be equipped with a special pocket to hold the hole insert.

I made a prototype mini-Hechi with some leftover fabric (dark skin). Since she's just a prototype, her height is only 44cm, and she has no pocket to hold the hole insert.

I'm very happy with her simple, primitive look. Simple is beautiful.

Thank you for your kind words !! I'm getting very attached to Mini-Hechi. She has a very strong, primitive, peculiar attractiveness.

I actually got satisfied already by making this mini-Hechi, so I've decided to park making a full-sized Hechi for now. My next project will be of a new, different style.
