Re: Lustful Shadows
Thanks Bennybr! I’m very grateful the girls let me examine them so closely…
Yesss… is it wrong that I just want to come home from work and stare at them??? Just so many tiny curves… Thanks for enjoying what I enjoy SH!
You’re welcome Victor! Having beautiful girls does make the camera talk less boring…
Bonus Inge Shadows!
Such a tiny belly button…
SH… I think you just gave me an idea for my next set…
Thanks again everyone for dropping by!

The juxtaposition of the shadows and the black/white composition just gives me a sort of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" vibe. (and I am well aware B@T was color!)

Thanks Sete! I love how they never complain about it either!setevoltas wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 5:27 pm Big fan of your stuff Shadowfun. And here I thought I was getting in close.
Stocking_Hunter wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 5:47 pm I think what makes the photos so fascinating, to me, is that if I didn't know they were dolls, (and mini-dolls at that!), I would second guess myself as if an actual woman was involved in the creation of the image.

Thanks again friend! And speaking of color… I decided to let it flow and do some “hunting” of my own…
Dark and Purple
More to come tomorrow… have a great night everyone!

Re: Lustful Shadows
Yes… you understand perfectly what’s going on…
More and More Purple
This is FUN!
So… usually I don’t shoot in color here… since this is supposed to be my “Art” thread. But last year I purchased a purple LED “party” light bulb to use with my big “Mischief Lounge” story shoot. Lately, I’ve been using it to light up Faedra in the evenings and it’s quite dramatic.
Perfect for a mMysterious… and Dangerous Creature.
I’m pleasantly surprised at how well my X-E1 deals with the darkness and the intense purple light… no weird trickery was needed.
Whenever I’ve tried to use my phone with the purple bulb, it constantly struggles to find white balance, often changing the purple to something completely different. But not so with my E… it only took one snap to know I’d stumbled into a wonderland.
I might have to get some more colors…
Thanks for joining us everyone!

Re: Lustful Shadows
Yes… I must stay clear of her fangs at all times! This Luv bites!
Stocking_Hunter wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2024 11:31 am The purple light is so subtle.... But what makes that picture is the stray bit of hair falling on her breast and the out of focus diamonds in the background.
It’s interesting that you mentioned that strand of hair. I only saw it after I posted the photo, and I thought to myself: “I should be more observant and inspect closer before shooting”… lol.
I often get so caught up in the lights and curves of my Luvs that I forget to do a little… uhhh… housekeeping. Pay no attention to those dust specks!
Purple Haze Continues…
The lens I’m playing with on my X-E1 for these sets is my vintage Olympus Pen 38mm f1.8… from the mid-sixties.
This lens, which I’m sure I’ve written about before, is one of my all time favorites. It was designed for Olympus’s revolutionary “half-frame” SLR, the Pen F… the camera that continues to be my favorite film camera.
I always shoot this lens “wide open” at f1.8. It has a very dreamy bokeh and can focus very closely. The lens itself is packed with the best glass and coatings that lenses from the middle of the last century could be… but it’s micro-contrast and resolution are just ok compared to my modern Fujifilm glass.
This is why this beloved little jewel hasn’t been used much in recent years… alongside my lonely X-E1.
But it’s FUN factor will no longer be denied!
Re: Lustful Shadows
Thank you for the information about your Olympus equipment. I started film photography with a Zenit when I was a student, then with an Olympus when my finances improved...
