2023-12-30 - The Conversation

This is the final post of 2023. Time does fly! But it's really a
follow-up to the series of B&Ws I posted last month.

These are shots of Nanako having a conversation. In it she
gesticulates a bit, then ends her talk with a little wave.
Maybe some one can figure out what she was saying, because
I really wasn't listening myself.

(Nanako wants to know why the photographer just threw a wrap
around her, rather than dressing her in the shorts she had
requested at the beginning of the shoot!?)

Well, that's just about all for 2023... but wait! There's a bonus
image at the end! The last portrait of Nanako of the year.

Coming Next Saturday: Nanako's Flute (First post of the new year!)

By the look of Nanako's gestures and expression, I would say that she is trying to figure out why the Photographer didn't wait for her to put her shorts on before snapping away..

By the end of the shoot though, Nanako seems quite happy to have finally got her shorts..

A perfect solution to Nanako's dialogue! Yes, I tried to put
some emotion and meaning into her arm and hand gestures.
I was happy with the saway the portrait turned out, too.

What a productive year you've had, gifting us with some of the absolute best images on the forum! Nanako has really got into her stride this year and actually seems to exude confidence as she has grown into her role of an established model! You make excellent use of those articulated fingers in this pic, I must admit that I've tended to take them for granted with my gals that have them which is a bit daft as they were something I longed for a few years ago so yet again you have inspired me to up my game! Thanks again for the work you put in to create such beautiful pictures, it's much appreciated, have a happy new year and let's look forward to another year of gorgeous Nanako pics in 2024!

All of them are fantastic but I do like the one with the dark background and the lighting of Nanako's hair from behind her. Great posing.

Thanks, again, for the encouraging feedback. I must admit, it's been a source of inspiration
all year long. As you surely know, you don't realize just how much work you've put into
producing photographs of your dolls, until you take step back at year's end, and try to understand
how it was possible to crank out this much material, while still managing to retain enough sanity
to continue the quest.
Yes, I've always thought that a woman's fingers are, or can be, one of her most expressive
attributes, and have generally tried to pose them in a flattering manner. You can really get a
lot of inspiration by looking at the way the Renaissance painters crafted women's hands, or
by watching how effortlessly graceful the better ballerinas are in their hand and arm
gestures.
Well, I hope to give you reason to visit Nanako's page each week in the coming year. I should
point out that my approach will be different, and new, in several ways. First view coming
at week's end

only the backlight, but also that sweet, innocent look she has
