How to clean dust from doll?

Post by d011user »

Can someone point me to posts on how to clean accumulated dust (and/or dirt) on the doll's skin? I'm focussing on her hands and arms now.

I've tried hand soap and baby oil, but nothing has worked, and both seem to leave the doll's skin sticky.

Nikki is six years old this month!

Did you try the shower? 8) For my dolls it removes the dust (but not the stickyness :?)

You need to powder the doll. Powder makes it smooth and not sticky.

Dust or dirt should be removed by water and soap. After, dry her then apply powder this wil make the doll not so sticky anymore.
When stored maybe have a blanket or something overit so it's better protected against dust and dirt.

water and soap have not worked. a shower is just water :(

yes, i know powder makes the skin smooth, but i think something else is causing the stickiness..
