Trying to remove and replace the screw for one of my WM heads, however its stuck in tight in there. I tried using pliers wrap with cloth to no avail.
Any suggestions on removing a stubborn screw? Would white vingear work if I spray a little?
Get some pb blast and allow it to sit for 24 hours before attempting to loosen it.. you don’t need a lot, just a little bit .. trying to unscrew it could strip the head of the screw, leading to more problems..
I assume pb blast is some form of penetrating oil I would be very cautious about getting this on the TPE it could cause it to break down. I think what you need is a stud extractor. Quite an expensive tool to buy for a one off use but you maybe able to borrow or hire one. That should soon move it. Take care Vickylover.
A good pair of plumbers grips and a few thick rubber bands coiled over and over, around the stubborn screw threads to protect it and give you ultimate grip.
Try and work above the neck with doll seated so you have more control and leverage.
That's how my owner, Bunnyboybob, does it. Works every time he says..
I've had this happen with a WM head too. Couldn't shift it for trying. Amazing how often this happens so I'm wondering if there could be some specific issue with the head design?
Get a couple of M16 nuts, think 1.5 pitch from memory and screw them together. Take your spanner or wrench to the one closest to the head and it should come out fairly easily.
The locknut method is the best method
If you plan on wrapping the thread and using plumbers grips, wrap the thread with a flattened bit of 6mm/1/4" copper tube
Prefer the locknut personally
