I received my Zelex 170cm Scarlet Inspiration series today and they did something really cool. At first glance I thought they packed her with a bolt in the neck and it popped out of the end of the box but noooo... she's actually bolted to the box! What a great idea!

Not sure if great because any impact to that bolt will transfer to doll skeleton... Remains to be seen but wouldn't be surprised if neck joints get damaged. Perhaps they have made enough tests to prove this is safe.

Perhaps. If the skeleton is good quality then there shouldn't be any problems. Bolting the body to the box stabilizes the body and greatly reduces damage to the feet and neck. It's inevitable that the box is set on end. I can't tell you how many dolls I received with the neck bent badly and the foot bolts sticking out of the end.
