Sadie Looking WONDERful
I've had this Wonder Woman costume for a couple years, but the corset didn't fit any of my dolls very well. So it has been hanging in the closet for some time. Today I decided to try altering the top a little and I think the results are, well, wonderful. I wanted to take so many more pictures, and to have longer fun with her today, but the outfit turned me on like crazy. We got to the finale pretty quick.

And she has the most magical eyes.
We try to make a rule about photos first, playtime after but ... it really doesn't work all the time

I'll have to get her in that outfit again. I worry about the red and blue staining if left on too long. And I know that the wig cap on that wig will stain if left on. So I didn't leave that outfit on her for very long. Though I suppose most of it came off during our "after photos" fun.
I'm really happy that the costume fits her now. I'll need to see how it looks on my other two dolls.

Re: Sadie Looking WONDERful
Very sweet and that costume fits her very well! I´ve the same problems fitting those rather cheap Marvel costumes on my gal and it only works with some adaptions of the non permanent type. One remaining issue is if fit is too tight and leaving it on for too long it does some serious stains. But I guess she didn´t wear it for too long when you came to the fun parts.Hitchhiker42 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 5:07 pm I haven't taken any pictures of my dolls in over 2 months. Life got in the way of being able to have all day fun with them. I tried making time today, and got a few pictures.

Nice work on the alterations, looks very snug on her. Have you had issues with staining in the past? The silicone on Amy tends to absorb stains so I've never had to treat any, eventually they get enveloped into the depths of her skin...
I've got a Sino XNX160 on order so would like to know if their silicone operates differently.

Re: Sadie Looking WONDERful
I have had some minor issues. Sadie being silicone, she has been more resistant to staining than my other two TPE dolls. Though black clothing seems to have been the only items to cause staining on her. I left a black bra on her too long and the straps left some dark stains. And a black jumpsuit that was to be a Black Widow costume left some stains too. But as you said, the stains do eventually get absorbed into the nether, or go away after a time. That seems to be about the only way to remove the stains. I tried wiping them off with no luck. The stains went away on their own and you can't even see them anymore now.
I still worry about staining her again. I get OCD about what if the next stain doesn't go away, lol. I don't know if this WW costume will even stain her. I haven't left it on long enough to test it. The wig definitely does. It has stained all my dolls. Even with a wig cap on. The black cap of the wig will stain the back of their ears and bleeds through the wig cap she has on for protection. It's annoying. I really like that wig. Fortunately I have that same wig in 3 other, lighter, colors that don't stain.
I think you will be happy with your Sino. Congrats on that, BTW! Next month will mark a year with Sadie. We had a very bumpy beginning, but things have been great since.

Re: Sadie Looking WONDERful
I don't know if this will be helpful, but here are some pics of what I did to alter the corset. First, I cut slits in the cups to remove the padding in the breasts. They don't push up a dolls breasts, lol. They just push the fabric out from the breasts. Then, to tighten up the corset, I folded the two ends of the back over to the next, um, "section?". I don't know what to call it. It's where the hard plastic strips are to make a corset form-fitting. I then sewed in a new seam. I didn't cut anything. If I wanted, I can remove the new seam and the corset will go back to it's original size. It doesn't even look too bad in the back when it is closed up. Only the hook-and-eye strip is a little shorter than the rest of the corset, but that almost looks like it's by design rather than a happy accident. I also removed the plastic strips in the corset so that I can fold up the bottom. The corset is too long on all my dolls (a common problem I have with corsets and dolls ). Anyways, I think that explains all I did to the corset. Maybe this will help other amateur tailors, lol. I don't know. I just thought I'd share what I did.
