You have to rotate the gasket with the head .. yes. This is because the gasket fills in hole from the head, not the neck.

The skin color is determined by how you dye the gasket ... its not the easiest to get right. You have to play with it a little bit. But its not hard either.

I do have a question. What if you wanted to make it semi permanent? Could you carefully glue it to the head? Edit: Or maybe permanent? Could you glue both neck and head? Or would it break or not work right?

Sorry I missed this question. I was looking at this old post because I needed to ask a manufacturer to do consider offering it.

Making it "permanent" is possible, but might have some drawbacks. #1 - you might not be able to turn the head easily. And if you turn the head, it might really stretch the material if it is glued in. #2 if it breaks, fixing it could be a chore.

I've considered a slightly different system where I effective extend the gasket to be a part of the head (but not the neck). This is similar to what I've seen done on the PIB dolls. Its not perfect, but it could make for a near permanent solution.

When I get a doll again .. I might get brave and try that out.

Unfortunately, I don't have my DS163+ any more .. I really miss her sometimes. So if I make another perfect pussy, it might never be fore the DS163+ again. Maybe one day. Hopefully.

Definitely. She was So So beautiful. If it wasn't for work, wouldn't have given her up. I loath to have parted company.

That said .. the neck gasket was a reasonably simple project that I hope others will try.

When I get my next doll (and I'm hoping to have a DS163+ again one day), my projects would be:
- Good Standing Feet (if she doesn't come with it)
- Posable Jaw and tongue that an perform good Oral sex
- Finger and toe bones (if she doesn't come with it)
- And additional neck joint for added realism .. maybe even mechanized for Oral sex

This is really cool and should come as a standard option for dolls. At the very least I hope some entrepreneurial person starts up an etsy shop for major brands so more people can add this feature.

Yeah .. its kinda sad that doll makers don't just include this .. its so simple for them to do. Its a little bit of a pain to do for each owner. But as far as custom projects go, its really good bang for the buck.

Its on the list of "must-do" projects for every silicone doll I'll own going forward.

Excellent work! I don't have any experience working with silicone so I don't this it's a project I'd attempt immediately (but that day may come eventually), though if manufacturers offered these in the standard skin tones of their dolls I'd pick one up immediately. It looks great; basically invisible unless you're looking for imperfections. I'll definitely be following your future work.
