Size restriction on photos
I'm trying to upload photos of Samantha, but it's not working.
After about the 100th attempt, I noticed a message telling me something
about pixel size. My photos are apparently 4608 x 3456 .
I know they are about 2.6 MB,
Are they too high a resolution ?
How do I fix this, because I have so many pics of Samantha I would like to share.

Not sure what the forum limit itself is though.

Re: Size restriction on photos
Just recently we increased the limit to this. For most images posted on TDF this is really unnecessary; it is more than a 4K image. Unless your photo is meant to be a very high-res image, this is unneeded. Mostly about 1000px on the longest side is more than enough for an image on a website.Tsall wrote:The configured limit is 4128x4128 pixels.
But many smartphones have 4128 pixels as the longest side. So now we support this. For those using a device having an even bigger resolution, please use an app or program to resize your image.

Most phones & digital cameras should also allow the user to select photo quality thus the final size or resolution on the device.Nescio50 wrote:Just recently we increased the limit to this. Yes, that an option. But then you don't have the original full resolution for further use. Who knows, maybe in a few years someone wants to have a better resolution of an old photo.Boobman wrote:Most phones & digital cameras should also allow the user to select photo quality thus the final size or resolution on the device.
