Heavy Metal Skeleton Body Solution?
Heavy Metal Skeleton Body Solution?
I am thinking that, to reduce the over all weight of the doll from 38kgs to a reasonable weight, can I operate the doll and remove some metal parts?
I will need to stick back TPE after the operation using some glue.

I have seen somewhere that people are tinkering with foam limbs for weight reduction. I don’t think they are replacing the skeleton, but rather the internal TPE with foam. The problem is then what is used as skin to cover the foam. I don’t have a link, but the skin looks terrible. May be an option in the future though.Mr Franz wrote:The weight of the skeleton is actually relatively low. The TPE itself is what's heavy. Also TPE is not easily glued back together. Especially large cuts and would be much more difficult to move with less inner structure..
