Human, as a creature with gender, has basic need for sex when the individules grow up physically. That is some reasons why many people are looking for a anti-gender partner basically. While this is some part of basic request. With this basic demands, the prostitute indulstry comes.

As an advanced creature, human always looks for sex satisfaction, both phisically and mentally. That is why people are looking for their finaly Mr right or Miss right. While there is some guys or ladies are not so socially active and they are afraid to face the publicities. I am in my mid 60's. Menopause took my wife's desire for any sexual contact away. I still love my wife but I was very angry and upset about the situation. Then I began to look at the problem as being "my problem", since our situation didn't bother her at all.

When i bought my first sex doll, yes it was for sex but i found it boring with no intimacy or emotion from the doll so it did not work for me sadly, But i did find that i realy enjoyed dressing the dolls and buying clothes for them, then started to take a few photos then eventualy started to post these photos on the doll forums.

I know my photos are not the best and could be better but its the whole thinking of a theme and then buying new outfits and everything else that goes along with taking pictures that i enjoy, Because of sex dolls i have seen more of my own country on outdoor shoots than i ever would have if i did not have them in my life.

I could never bring myself to go the prostitute route, for various reasons. Several of my friends still go down that path. I might have eventually but doubt I would now with these creations in my life.

It comes down to how I perceive making the payment. I have no idea what a prostitute is going to do with my money, be it positive or negative. With a doll I can feel good about supporting a growing industry, and also view it as an investment as opposed to a complete loss. At the very least, I have my photos as something tangible to take away from the experience, which feels good. Then I get to share them with this community, which also feels good.

And these are the "spiritual" benefits, not even getting into the realities of diseases, violence, criminal charges, etc. I don't judge prostitutes or my friends, but it's not a route that I ever saw bringing me satisfaction. Dolls give me another way, and it's amazing.

This exactly Sam (though I never bought originally for sex)....but everything else you said sums it up for me. A doll can never replace a woman to me (not knocking those where they have)...they are just not comparable in any league at all to my mind (yet...hopefully I'll live long enough and be fit enough to see them become that hehe).

Fun..photo's...works of art, sculptures, life-sized action figures. As for the original thread title...what's the difference really between paid and partner? Still spending money...ultimately for sex at the end of the day...everything else in a relationship you can get from numerous different sources. Not everyone can/will find a 'partner'...so what's wrong with a few hours fun with an Escort? Sometimes this is the sadness of Marriage to me. Many times it seems our Women fight so hard to get us in the beginning when we are dating...they want to know where is this going, are we going to get Married? This was the mantra all my entire adult life. Then once Men and Women are married it seems many Women, not all, start to become dissatisfied with everything, fussing all the time, you're always in the dog house and the next thing you know you're in a sexless marriage, supposedly until death do you part. "Why am I always in the dog house honey", why are you always bitter, we are both only trying to do our best. Two marriages for me ended in death in some way. 1st one my Daughter,

2nd one, my Wife.

Personaly I added a lot of pleasure to my life by having as companions everywhere around me all these beautiful Young women that I am unable to date in the real women world.
I want them Young and to have realistic esthtetic body ratios. I want them to look healthy (not overweight not anorexic) with beautiful female sculpts because my contagious disease everybody catch soon or later is called " old age." Prostitution is not legal where I live, and even if it was, I have never been interested in using such a service anyway because the business is just such a huge turnoff for me.

Relationships and family is not something I'm interested in either, nor do I have time for it. I prioritize my hobbies in my spare time and don't want someone in my life again that keep limiting my time and money for it. I greatly value my peaceful life as well so I don't want all that drama that tends to come with relationships either.

As for what I'm looking for in my dolls; fantasy, fictional characters, androids, and technology. Reality is boring, and with dolls I see so much more potential. They can look however we want, and their internals can be designed pretty much however we want. Why settle with realism? I wish more manufacturers could see beyond realism and go for something even more stimulating and functional, preferably modular. More fantasy and anime styled heads. Things that are not possible for real humans. People always say dolls can never replace a real person, but what if that is not the goal? I think they can evolve into something of their own instead, not just uncanny imitations of reality.

So yea, that's what gets me going at least. One of my dolls is mostly standing around in cosplays as decoration, the main doll is currently a petgirl with cat ears and stuff which I use for sex, sleep, photography, and various lazy activities. I change their looks all the time, but it's always something heavily inspired from games, movies, anime, and various art. I got my share of relationships over long time and finally got enough of them. The benefits in the long run didn´t outlast the troubles that came inevitably. I´ve usually no problem to get a RL gal again anytime, but I´ve become uncompromising re my needs and wishes now. Thus I found a doll (and IT in particular) giving me everything I need ATM, even discovered sides of my own personality I didn´t know before. I also got a noticable increase in health and fitness with my synthetic gal, both physically and mentally. Beside that I always had tons of interests and hobbies that keep me busy and happy and my reliance on a social partner has become lesser than before. Have friends and buddies that give me enough social satisfaction. So no question, for the time beeing I´m and most likely will remain happy with a doll.
