Re: Photos of Lena
Yes, the jeans pants are really nice and i'm glad how good they fit.
HD was a little bit sorry about putting them off of me, so he did it slowly

Re: Photos of Lena
I've just had 'that look' from Hanna.
I said "What?"
She said "You haven't seen Lena's latest pictures have you?"
I said "Oh no, are there some new ones then?"
She said "tut, go and have a look"
So here I am, and glad I came too. Nearly missed these lovely shots of Lena's legs new shorts.
Very nice legs shots HD, and Lena's looking rather lovely.

Re: Photos of Lena
She really wanted to do that pose on my bed with that outfit.
Explanation: no photo-lights. Just daylight. But it's a cloudy day. So in principle, this isn't enough light.
But i didn't want to come up with photo-lights, because i wanted her to look natural.
Camera settings were at a specific preset called 'dusk'. In addition i raised the white balance to 1.0
This is the shot how it came directly out of the camera. I only resized it in GIMP.
The photo was shot at 18M and i downscaled it to 1440x1080.
I haven't been satisfied with the color temp. Too blueish.
So i changed the color temperature in GIMP to this setting:
Here is how it looked then:
Finally there were still missing a little bit contrast.
So i adjusted it also to my liking:
Finally i'm satisfied and the photo looks close to what i did see in front of the camera
Have a nice day

Re: Photos of Lena
It is hard to get lighting right, that's for sure, and I try all sorts of different lamps I have to get the more natural look without doing any alterations afterwards! Every time I try to do 'alterations' it seems the image looses its crispness in the copy so I've given up that for a while!
Cheers, Hollows.

Re: Photos of Lena
Very sexy.
Daria has a pair and even though it takes her a long time to wiggle into them, the result is always worth it.
Thanks for the info on the Gimp settings. I need to look into it further.
I have played with the Gimp auto white balance selection.
Sometimes it vastly improves the picture, and sometimes it makes it worse.
I always give it a try and see if it helps. If it doesn't, I just undo it.
I'm not sure if its just my camera, but every picture I take is improved by adjusting the Gimp brightness and contrast to 15.
That's a good starting point, and then I tweak it from there.
Keep up the great work with Lena. I always enjoy her pictures.
Thanks,
scooter

Re: Photos of Lena
I'm terribly sorry I haven't visited your thread before! Somehow I have missed it over the last several months. What a shame too, because I have truly enjoyed going through it just now. I should tell you how I got here, because I enjoyed Lena's portrait in the photo challenge for August quite a lot, and decided to go looking for her in the forum to see if I could find more photos. Fortunately I did, and here we are!
You certainly received one of my votes for this beautiful portrait:
I know a special doll when I see one. The French call it "je ne sais quoi"; a certain unique quality that is difficult to describe. There are a good handful of dolls I've seen here at TDF that have it, and Lena is one of them. She would be easy to spot even in a room full of dolls with the same body and face combination.
Hans, you've done a wonderful job of breathing life into Lena, and I hope you remain inspired for months to come. Cheers and best wishes to you both! - LDV

Well, whatever that was, he seems to have recovered already a bit. So he wanted to take a photo of Klara and me.
I will help her to put on the new dresses that HD has bought for her.
Well, he said there were Barbie sales. so he thought Klara could try a few of them.
If you ask me, that's a good idea. Although some of the clothes are not stretchy or the proportions don't fit.
Even if Klara has not a big bust size like me
We'll see how it turns out.
Hugs,
Lena

Re: Photos of Lena
I hope at least some of the clothes fit! However, they can be cut and either use fabric glue or Velcro to attach them again!

Re: Photos of Lena
However, Lena has no more plans to taking part at a challenge anymore.
Yes that sounds hard. But she has decided.
All the clothes don't fit, except two. The green and the pink "flower power" dresses are fine!
