It's strange at first, but one can adjust to it. It just takes time.

For me, it felt odd that I didn't have to buy birthday presents nor Mother's or Father's Day cards any more, but that's changed since my father died last year.

I travel to my parents' house roughly every 3 weeks now because I have to clear it out and figure out what to do with their possessions. I see them each time I'm there as they are, so to speak, keeping each other company in the living room. I started leaving cards on their urns to observe, say, their birthdays. I figure that just because they're gone doesn't mean I have to forget about them.

Meso that really touched my heart you cared for your mother for so long before she passed
Please except my condolences

Sorry for your loss... I know how difficult is to take care of a loved one with dementia (my grandmother).
You can check dolls (and sex toy reviews) at my blog: http://thecasqueterofiles.com/

Sorry to hear. My mother has Alzheimer's for eight years. She's going to be 91. I'm scared when the Big Bird comes to take her away. At that age, it could be any time, even for a healthy person.

Meso,

Eva and I wish to offer our sincere condolences. You have endured much, and it is always hard to lose someone so close.
Our best to you on the healing process.

My apologies for not posting sooner, I have had very little privacy the last few days, and myself have a hard time with loss.

Always here if you need anything.

Meso, I'm very sorry for your loss. As Rari said, when there's dementia it's like losing someone twice.

Take your time, and take care.

Sorry for your loss, Meso. When a parent passes away, it's a real world changer, but it does soften with time.
