We like to share, that's TDF.purplehaze wrote:Thank you very much for sharing the information!!
Screw: #8 UNC - 32 TPI, length 1/2", Phillips Pan Head, Stainless steel.manobon wrote:I don't have the tools to drill into the plastic, so I've tried the felt washer and #8 washer method -
However, it seems like the threading on one side of the jaw is ...rusted? Or something - I'm not sure, but the screw does not go in as easily, nor as 'straight' as the other side's screw (with and without the felt pad and washer).
I figure an easy solution would be to replace the threading and screw (the screwhead has now been stripped a little, and the rust remover liquid I used for the thread insert didn't help) -
Does anyone know of the correct sizes/specifications of the thread insert and screw?
Thanks for providing such exact information (and more)! Very much appreciatedsiliconefun wrote: Screw: #8 UNC - 32 TPI, length 1/2", Phillips Pan Head, Stainless steel.
Insert: the insert is similar like these one https://www.amazon.com/Z-Threaded-Inser ... B00DCFIFPW but the factory used inserts are just pressed into the skull, not riveted or screwed. Alternatively contact Abyss which inserts/bushings they use, could not find this type - SF -
