Will there be dealers there? Is this a show case for new dolls in the market? Sorry many question.

Hi ernest1 and welcome to TDF. There will be one or two vendors there but this Meet is not like an ‘Expo’ if that’s what you’re thinking! The main aim is for likeminded people to get together at a private venue that welcomes us. It’s great to meet some of those members and their dolls in ‘person’ that we normally only see in posts here! Quite a variety of dolls are there in all their finery but it’s not like a showcase for new dolls on the market (although I’m sure there will be some new ones!)!

Is the meeting organised each year? I wish to attend the meeting sometime, maybe next year.

Yes, the Meet is held each year subject to the availability of the venue! The Hershey Meet in the States had to be postponed this year as the venue became unavailable. As you can imagine, it can be hard finding a large enough private venue that is sympathetic to our needs that can be hired for a long weekend all to ourselves! The one we use in the UK is fantastic with lovely staff and also sympathetic local hotels/inns but it has been up for sale for some time so things could change.

Sadly, I probably won't be able to make it this year as I'm just now learning about this and dealing with my situation.

Hopefully I'll be able to make it for the next one, though!

You don’t need a lady to come along nosenetwork but it is a long way from the States! Keep a look out for the US Meet and maybe you can make it there!

P.S. Note from Nescio, all rooms at the main location are taken, but there is room in a B&B very nearby. You still have one or two days to PM Nescio50 and get it all arranged

Hi all! I've been reading the forum for quite some time now and finally decided to register an account, because I'm interested in this event in the UK (I know, I'm very late...). I tried to PM Nescio50 to ask about the availability of rooms, the cost of the event and so on, but it seems like I'm not able to use that feature yet. Is there any way someone could help me get that information soon, since the event will start tomorrow and I would need to come all the way from Finland? Thanks!
