It seems to be an easier fix than the washers and does the same job. The back of the plastic pad is a dome shape so is easier on the tpe. They just replace the original bolts and seem to do a better job.
This looks interesting! How about wearing shoes these 'furniture bolt/pads'...? Any issues?

They snap on over the M6 button head screws.
They're designed to swivel slightly to adjust with foot positions. Bottoms are flat to spread out the weight to avoid forming holes in socks.

Hi, I've had one of my gals standing with these for a couple of months wearing shoes without any issues. They are better then just using a plain washer as I did before.Prometheus 2112 wrote:Arthur1960 wrote:I got some of these furniture bolt/pad things that had been recommended by another member on here and have fitted them to Sarah's feet for the first time. Arthur1960 wrote:Today I fitted some simple hinged screw/bolt caps to one of my gals feet, whilst the washers were ok, she is my heaviest at 44.5kg so the washers were beginning to leave a mark and I think I saw someone else on here mention these little caps. Time will tell whether they are strong enough but they certainly are a good fit and easier on the eye than having a metal washer. Also they are available in different colours so in this case, biege, works ok. Clearly they won't be as good as MF's tailor made bolt caps but I'm optimistic they will prove an effective way to protect the tpe surrounding the bolt and the good news is they only cost me £1.99 for 25 off eBay!
