Avon Skin So Soft

Post by Merida »

I was preparing my stuff for an upcoming trip and I put a small bottle of Avon Skin So Soft for use as a bug repellant. It smells nice too.

My question is :

Is this stuff ok to put on a doll?

It only mentions Jojoba oil on the bottle.

You should be fine BUT as with all things I would probably test it on an area like the bottom of her foot to see what type of reaction you'd get. If you are worried about bugs landing on your lady... I mix up a bottle of 20 drops of peppermint, 20 drops of lavender essential oils diluted with Vodka and put that into a spray bottle shake it up and spray on the girls when they are sitting out by the pool. Keeps the bugs away. The vodka evaporates fairly quickly leaving behind the essential oils dispersed on my dolls and no bugs.

Isopropyl Palmitate,
Alcohol Denat,
Aqua,
Parfum,
BHT,
Simmondsia
Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil,
Tocopheryl Acetate,
Hydroxycitronellal,
Coumarin,
Linalool,
Citronellol,
Limonene.

Ok, let's keep this simple. Half of those ingredients (many which do not actually tell you what they are, further googling will be required if you really, really want to know) I wouldn't put on my ladies.

What exactly do you want to use it for precisely? small amounts, not very regularly will probably not be overly troublesome, but I wouldn't use it extensively or a lot personally. But as always, the choice is yours ;)

I don't want to use it as a doll bug repellent.

Since this stuff is so oily and smelled good, I would have guess that it would be safe to use on a doll.
