Post by DollLover4Ever »

Here a recommend list I created for a doll owner starter kit. This list based on me owning a TPE doll but I’m sure some of the below items applies for other types of dolls.

Essentials Items
  • Baby Oil
  • Baby Powder
  • Microfiber Cloth
  • Vaseline
  • Nivea Creme
  • Makeup Brush Set
  • Hydrogen Peroxide 3%
  • Bodystocking to protect clothing
  • Douches and Tampons for cleaning and drying fixed vagina
  • Plastic Drop Cloth (Useful on the surface your are servicing your doll)
Recommended Items
  • Wig Stand
  • Clothing Tape
  • Heat Gun and Infrared Thermometer for repairs. Also get a respirator and work in a well ventilated area.
  • Detangler spray for the wig
  • Wig Cap
  • Wig Stand
  • Wig Bag
  • Wig Brush
  • Wide Tooth Comb
Tip: Always wash new clothing

Also essential is a great imagination and enjoyment with your doll :)

I didn't even know detangler spray was a thing. It sounds useful, but I just looked it up and it looks like silicone is a common ingredient. That sounds a bit dangerous with a TPE girl...

That interesting. But the one I choose is plant based ingredients. So I say plant based one should be safe.

All this equipment... did I miss an orifice?

The bulb the company gives you and 1-2 paper towels is all you need to clean/dry her ladybits.

With all due respect, this has been gone over ad-infinitum and there are even stickies with this information and more correct also. Good that you want to help others though :)

I didn’t intend the post to be ad-infinitum. Sometimes is might not be something I see as I do have dyslexia.

Maybe this post was a bad idea and can be removed?

I found it useful. IMHO every doll owner is going to utilize different items and methods of doing things. I like reading similar threads because I can see what works best for different people and then I can choose what I think will work best for me.

Thanks for the very useful list of items. If I had seen this post last week - I would have already gathered some of those items. Been buying pieces at a time as and when I need them (I assume like most novice owners). Thanks :)

Yep, accumulating stuff as needed works for me
Detangler is for the wig and is not loaded with the stuff that makes silicone soft and destroys TPE :)
