Tpe ball repair and sealing of backside

Post by dollguy22 »

I have a doll that the TPE ball is compromised on. She also has a small hole in her backside due to the pressure. What kind of Home depot silicone or what could I use to repair this? I tried super glue with not diserable results. She still has a lot of life, but having to plug her and clean to prevent leaking is really gross and cleaning is difficult. Any thoughts from those who have had similar issue? Thanks.

You have a TPE doll.
You can't just go buy some silicone somewhere because it most likely will not work.

You need TPE solvent and spare TPE to melt to repair.
Silicone only works on silicone dolls and TPE only works on TPE dolls.

Do a search on this type of repair using the search function here.
Grimreefer may be able to help you.

Photos please of the damage... 8O

NO, you cannot just hop on down to your local HomeDepot and pick up a bottle of silicone. Number one solvent is used like MEK which will melt the TPE so it will fuse back together (not my preferred method).

Depending upon the injury I use either a soldering iron or heat gun.

Look on YouTube for Mishka Valentino's repair videos... :glou:
