What other countries besides China produces TPE blends besides Silidoll (Korean)
Japanese? I usually only see Silicone from them.

Re: TPE stain remover- what is it?
Guess I should had put a warning in my post saying "Use at your own risk".
But it works well for my dolly.
Guess it is the same when buying a new upholstery cleaner. Always test it on a small area before spraying the whole thing with it.
Re: TPE stain remover- what is it?
Dolly got a stain on her arm.. I left her in a blue nighty for weeks. Toothpaste did the trick. 2 applications.
Since then she had a pink dress on for weeks. No excess oils, no stains..
The oils inside most TPE blends are enough to keep the material in good shape. A very slight oil wipe of minera oil maybe quarterly is probably enough for surface treatment.
Even the "inferior" TPE blends are no differnt than overpriced "secret" blends.
Wiki is not the go to place for info. Many times it's inaccurrate.
Smoke and mirrors...

Where I work benzene, toluene, all that fun stuff is used in small amounts in certain processes. Just got to read the MSDS to scare yourself, lol. The LD50 info is eye-opening. But seriously, chemicals can be very dangerous and detrimental to the surfaces they’re used on, and can react very badly, not to mention the fumes they can produce. I wish you could clean stained TPE or silicone with baking soda and water...

Re: TPE stain remover- what is it?
Thank you for your in depth answer. At the moment I don't have any more questions. The main reason I asked in the first place was that I thought it might be possible to easily do some cheaper DIY cleaning goo if I knew the ingredients, but I understand now that it is neither easy to make nor cheap.
@Mr Franz
Thanks for remembering I was the OP.

Same results, right, but two very different ways, one removes, the other hides.
One is safer for her, but more costly.
Now, people have enough information to make an educated decision.
Best,
Jeff

Instead of just selling me some for a quick sale, he reached out to Indigo20. I20 contacted me. Because he wasn't sure if his formula would correct the damage done by the cheaper home remedies, he sent me a free sample to test. He even covered the shipping. The results are as follows. This is the results of two applications. After thoroughly washing her. Waiting another 36 hours to let the process run its course, I used mineral oil to help with stress and even her out. Waited another 8 hours to let it absorb completely before powdering her with corn starch. There is still some discoloration, which I hope will fade even more given time. It is still a great improvement even if it doesn't.

Damn - those are some impressive results!
Looks like Indigo is the go-to guy for stain treatment. Though fingers crossed I won't require his services any time soon.
Silicone...TPE...its all good...
Re: TPE stain remover- what is it?
Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the stain remover creme.
@ Grubhed:
Very important:
Do not use mineral oil / baby oil / vaseline for removing color stains caused from clothing !
The clothing industry is using a lot of oil-soluble color pigments.
Therewith you have a high chance of causing a permanent pigmentation inside the TPE.
This happens because the mineral oil / baby oil / vaseline can firmly anchor these oil-soluble color pigments within the TPE structure.
I have seen a lot of pictures from doll owners similar to your pictures.
The pigmentation changes into a color mix of brown and purple.
Here is an example: Such anchored color pigments are a "hard fight" for my stain remover creme because my creme is transporting the color pigments to the surface.
The consumption of creme increases significantly due to the now increased applications required.
As I mentioned before, my creme is a "remover" and not a "bleach & push" product.
You wrote that you did 2 applications with the creme and afterwards you applied mineral oil.
No, don't do that.
Remove the color stains completely, and afterwards, if all is gone, then you can use mineral oil.
At the moment you are "anchoring" again.
