Convert to torso

Post by Randomdeal »

Hello,

What is the best way to create a torso doll from a full doll? What cuts TPE without it looking too bad?

Sharp scissors or a hot knife for the TPE. Hacksaw for the frame or remove at the joint. Just need to find a way to seal it off afterward.

I’ve done this as a test project. Sharp scissors works best by far, produces a clean cut. I used an angle grinder to cut the skeleton, covering the TPE from the heat. Be careful if you use a grinder, a small saw for cutting metal is probably safer but takes time.
