Fingernail application on TPE dolls?
I just received my doll today, and one of her fingernails came off, and another is hanging on by a thread.
What sort of adhesive should I use to apply fingernails to my TPE doll?

For silicone dolls use silicone glue like Sil-Poxy.
Be sure that the finger is clean, use acetone. Also be sure that the inside of the nail is clean, and best is to make it a little rough using fine-grained sandpaper. Apply the glue as explained on the package (seconds for superglue, minutes for silicone glue), and like Mr Franz said don't use too much! Push the nail in place. It's really easy.

You don't have to clean TPE fingers to glue nails on?Nescio50 wrote:For TPE dolls use any superglue based on cyanoacrylate.

If not, great.
If so, what's the best thing to use as a cleaner before gluing?

I replaced nails on m'lady and to clean some of the old glue off I used rubbing alcohol on a q-tip dabbed it on her fingertip. The Messenger wrote:You don't have to clean TPE fingers to glue nails on?Nescio50 wrote:For TPE dolls use any superglue based on cyanoacrylate.

It did lift the glue from the TPE some, and was able to carefully peel it off. Did not tear the TPE.
It helped remove the old nails as well.
I screwed up putting new one on. And as we all know how crazy glue is, stuck instantly. Again, alcohol and a q-tip as a pry bar
To remove old glue from inside of nail, Mineral oil actually cut it, and was able to peel it off. Cleaned with alcohol, and tried again. lol
Careful with the alcohol, could remove the finish on the top of nail too.
Usually I've been using the non gel super glue, this time tried the gel stuff. I think I'll stick with the non gel super glue
Mr. Franz knows, it'll ooze out, gel is more likely to do that more.
After all that trouble, I do not like the replacements LOL They're wider, and look funny. I did trim them so they'd be shorter, but should've trimmed the sides too
