Plastic Hunt a One Sixth doll girl band

Post by MX-V »

Hi,
So I got bitten by the 1/6 bug a few months ago.
Then I had an idea for making a 1/6 band in my studio to be my inspiration for songs.
I used to date a girl in an all girl band but the dynamics weren't there.
So I put together an all Girl Band the way that I would like to see.
Close your eyes if you're squemish. Doll nudity ahead (for arts sake of course).
My humor, good or bad is throughout.
The keyboard I made from styrofoam. The Chair was inspired by the Captains Chair, made that from balsa wood (that may become the top piece for the U.S.S. Rhoomba).

Also have been trying to paint/color/stain the phicens. What didn't work for me: Sharpie, Chartpak, Acrylic paints.
What did work for me: Pentel Oil Patels.

Some play the saw, Jess Basher plays a good hammer. She also hates cyborgs like Likity Split.

Left is Barbara, arm gloves of black pastels. Center character, Bette Newarre (AKA Red Eye) all black oil pastels. Right:Dead Space. She's two colors of oil pastels.

Dead Space is a charater I made up to match the ghoulish colors and of course Robbie.

Thank you so much.
I realize that in this scale, my camera is a$$. I mean sucks big a$$.
I want a camera but from what I can see, around $500 would be the least to get something decent.
I have to decide. 5 Dolls or 1 camera.
I would ask if someone knows of a decent 200 camera, but I know the answer....no.
Anyway, Thanks for checking my stuff out.

Good gawd this is addictive.
Hysterical that I quit drinking 2 weeks ago
yet this has become my new addiction.
So...as I wait for number 10 (I think),
I made a simple superhero outfit for the latest.
A piece of pond liner for the cape,
electrical tape and metal solder for the costume.
As always my motto, "less is more"...
No name for her yet.

Very Cool. Love the imagination and details you include for your dolls.

Better camera or more dolls, you say? I was thinking a nice little 3D printer would help print out cool outfits, props, and other items.

Thank you,
Good advice on all accounts.
Just go with it and have fun.
I took the solder off. It didn't stain. Besides, Acne medicine takes all stains out.

Here is an adjusted version, also another superhero costume.
One pic is slightly blurry, the other sharper, can't say which one is better.

Okay, so I wanted to do something even stranger than my usual...
I wanted to make a mini me. Find as close to a likeness as possible.
I'm not saying I look like this guy (unless he was hit with a baseball bat and soaked in seawater for a few months)
When I was in great shape 10 years ago...maybe.
But it's a better choice than the Pee Wee Herman head. Hahaha

Here he is (I guess he can be the sleazy manager of the band) dressed like me.
A forced perspective shot for similar size.

We absolutely love girl bands here!!!!
So Mr. Manager, when you go on tour we will print your concert shirts. Girl bands are our all time favorites and a new girl band is exactly what we need.

Very cool Misty! Thank you.
As I think I have the final line up now and no chaos on stage (that won't last),
I can come up with a logo.
T-shirts would be great...I'm also thinking each band member silk screened on the inside of underwear...
(I wonder why no one ever thought of that before???)
