I was sitting in chat last night, listening to everyone talk about their mini's... well, I broke down and ordered one.

I'm not sure how long she will take to arrive, but I must admit, I'm a bit excited. lol

Looking forward to doing entire photoshoots without ever getting up from the couch.

I've considered time and time again getting a 1/6 scale doll. A number of DIY custom dolls come up on Chastity's YouTube recommendations.
Also I've looked from time to time at the 1/6 that are listed on BBTS.
Who are my Doll's?
Chastity Ode Knight (YL170 D-cup, WM#33 head), Chastity's Album and Old eye candy page.
Chastity Knight 2.0 (JY170 H-cup, GU02 head) 2.0 Eye Candy page

This is very exciting news.
With your photographic skills applied to miniatures, we are in for a treat.

You'll love working with a miniature.
I just did a big photo shoot with Daria and Giorgi (mini) today.
I get posing ideas from the looking at model shots and have not found a pose that Giorgi can't do.
When working with Daria, I have to pass on many poses because they are outside the tolerances of her joints.
Also Giorgi's half of the shoot took about 30 minutes while Daria's "half" was 2 hours.

BTW, I'm in the April Cover Doll with Why Your Next Doll Should Be A Miniature

Thanks,
scooter
With beautiful Daria and Giorgi.

Congrats Broven! What did you order? If you need any help, let me know. Since you are in the USA I have some connections that you might find helpful.

Thanks LR :) I've been reading through your posts already. Lots of good tips! But you'll definitely be at the top of my "who to ask" list. lol And any connections would be appreciated. I expect I'll be buying things for her... probably too many things. lol

I order a TBLeague Athena Asamiya (I'll probably give her a new name though). She was a character in the King of Fighters game, so she immediately appealed to my love for video game characters. Plus, I'm a fan of asian faces... so, I guess I never had a real chance to resist. :P

I like the outfit she comes with, but I've been looking around the web at all the clothes and props available for these dolls... A lot of cool stuff! Looking forward to buying some things for her already. lol

From what I have seen of her she looks like her body is based on the S18 / S19 body (not sure if she is pale or suntan).

I still have a LOT to learn... for example, what the hell is an s18 body... lol (Ok, I just googled it. lol)
Is that something I will need to know when buying clothes for her, or do most clothes fit?

You have to sort out something that *might* fit your doll, based on a few specific requirements.
It is just like with humans. Not all clothes fit all humans. You know what i mean? :haha4:

The S18 body for example has relatively small breasts. I would call it 'standard' and gives you the largest selection of clothes.
On the other hand, the S21 has larger breasts and butt (which is nice).
Though, i wouldn't recommend it, simply because most available 1/6 clothes are for smaller proportions.
Also, most barbie clothes won't fit.

Might have found a 1/3 doll I'd get. While looking at options for my Chass, I found this dress and wig for a 1/3 Belldandy. I do wish the price tag was a little lower as I'd have to wait for two months to set the cahs aside for both the doll body and this outfit.

Nice Broven! The minis are a lot of fun.

I've bought a few outfits for mine, and most of them fit the "medium" bust Phicens with no problems, but are too small to fit around the "large" bust Phicens - there isn't really that much difference, but it's enough.

Clothing for the larger busts does tend to be advertised as such though.
