Doll stand where you can keep the head on
Doll stand where you can keep the head on
I was thinking a way to store/pose a doll standing for long periods of time in a way where the head can be attached and switched.
The support goes under the neck, stretching the neck just a little. Support would be around 5mm thick metal, so it fits there easily.
I first though just to hang the doll from the support, but that would tilt the head down when hanging/lifting.
There fore the vertical pole has to be upright with a hanging-support that would be tiltable, so that you can adjust the neck position (doll looking up/down).
The vertical pole height could be adjustable, to lift the doll and to enable different poses.
Would the neck bolt mount withstand this force?
Any thoughts?
Here's a crude drawing of my idea:

planning to use something like this, but with telescopic boom (it attaches to wall and handles a fuk-ton of weight):
Re: Doll stand where you can keep the head on
I think the neck bold will withstand it, but will the neck withstand? Especially when it is a goose neck.
Not sure if I understand your second idea. Do you want to balance the doll with a counterweight on the horizontal pole and then just hang it on the pivot point? As soon as you remove the head it will get unbalanced.

adjusting the weight, the head can tilt forward / backward
you can then adjust the height by pulling the rope up/down
