Blue veins on boobs-revisit

Post by Dollyman25442 »

I recently saw a post that made me curious about technique.
See the below image.
I get that this was done with a permanent marker, but see the way it's softened on the edges making it seem so faint? A marker out of the box can't do that, so I was wondering if anyone had discovered a technique for doing this?
Unfortunately the OP is unable to make commentary (for perfectly understandable reason-contract obligation), so I thought I'd put it to other members.
Also, anyone venture a guess which marker and color?

I do a bit of detailing and weathering of model vehicles. My unsure answer is that it's most likely done using a blue permanent marker extremely carefully and skillfully drawn on vein patterns. Left for a brief few minutes and then wiped. Wouldn't suggest doing it unless you were confident.

It almost looks like a clothing stain. Maybe a stencil with a cloth you know that stains secured on?

Solution-Revlon Eye pencil 304 Matte Marine.
It's not permanent but it stays on for quite awhile and only comes off with a baby oil cleanse.
Duplicates the effect found in the image above.

Excellent.
I missed this in my vein research. Will try some on a test sample and see if skinning it will retain the subtle color and protect rub off.
Cheers!

Got the pencil and DAMN it works well. Thin and light and like a perfect breast vein. Once under a TPE skin looks great. Very good for subtle veins in thigh and breast areas of a light tone doll.
Work of warning though, it's a very soft pencil composition. Use lightly. Too much pressure on the TPE and the tip may break. (or so I heard :))
Great little tool.
Cheers!

Don't know yet.
It's not powder, the blend line appears too smooth, likewise not paint. Depending on the TPE material they might have bleached the area with a stain remover or similar.

To me the question is if this is a real lasting coloration or just for photo use only. You can do a lot of makeup and highlights of a doll for a photo session that look good, but don't last. Even some of the manufacturers that add skin effects state that it an externally applied decoration. And that is will wear off.

It would be interesting to know the application techniques.

Cheers!

Thanks. How long they stay? Do they wipe off when you touch/pet the doll in that area?
And when you shower the doll?

They stay on quite a good while and son't wipe off easily. Mineral oil will take them off.

OK, thanks!
I found a way to make acceptable moles (well, at least for me), but freckles was difficult. I will try this one out.
I will post my method when I reach 5 posts and can add pictures.
