Full oral head WIP
After successfully making a Fleshlight-like sleeve with platinum cure silicone, I've decided to make a full head with oral function. Here she is at the sculpting stage, let me know what you think.

Of course doing it this way the material needs to be stretchable and durable to withstand the mouth opening wider for oral use , which many doll creators seem to have trouble with rips and tears on the mouth .
I wonder if the tpe material may be the answer to a head mold .

The pink thing is a custom oral insert that I made using platinum cure silicone. It fits inside a regular Fleshlight case. I'll make the head using the same silicone, because it works extremely well - I've been using this insert for months, way better than a Fleshlight and no signs of tearing at the corners.
I've messed with TPE in the past, but no more. Silicone gives me exactly what I want without fumes and air bubbles.

Is it possible to share what silicone +/- additives your using?

I'm very impressed.
I second that question.rubherkitty wrote:Looks very nice and professional.

I use Platsil Gel00 http://polytek.com/index.php?dispatch=c ... ory_id=210.
I made a mouth-shaped, Fleshlight wannabe thing out of it using a 60% mix (6oz of silicone oil for 10oz of Platsil Gel00) for the outside and a 100% mix for the inside (10oz of silicone oil for 10oz of Platsil Gel00). I've been using it for months, not a single tear at the corners of the mouth or anything. Extremely durable.

But I'm wondering: Are you planning to make a detailed interior (tongue, teeth's, palate, throat?)
I never saw any oral head with a realistic interior, or simply a realistic tunnel direction (down to throat)

Did you work from a real life model or other sources?
Very impressive job on the details of the ears, nose and lips. Ears are very difficult to do.
You have a lot of talent there. Keep up the good work - I'm eager to see the outcome in silicone!

About the mouth cavity, I'm working on something between real and functional. I've started to work on it, had to separate the jaw in order to sculpt inside. There are some areas where sculpting will be impossible, so I'll work on the oral cavity as much as I can and then I'll seal it back, fill it with plaster and continue to sculpt in the negative plaster mold (hope that makes sense). I won't make the teeth since they're not needed in this case.

Hey thanks I've been sculpting this randomly and looking at some reference pictures for detailing (like ears and nostrills). Wish I could hire a model to cast a mold of her head and save me the time, lol.MannequinFan wrote:That's a beautiful sculpt stapafurdio!
