Yikes I winced a little when I saw that beautiful face cut in half!
Looks like you got her back together OK though, whew.

I think I've come to the conclusion that sculpts are better for dolls than life casts.
The life casts I've seen tend to look like cadavers, so I think what you are doing is going to turn out much better.
Sometimes you can find mannequin heads that are pretty nice though. I fell in love with this one earlier today...

Very nice. love how she looks like she's leaning in for a kiss. For me though, I'd prefer a little bit more fullness to the lips

Hello. No significant progress, unfortunately. I've been on and off trying to making molds out of bigger pieces. After many attempts, I was able to make a silicone gel hand to use with my Novelleco head:

I had the 'brilliant' idea of sculpting a hand with bent fingers (like holding a dick). I pulled the 1st cast out of the mold without the tip of two of the fingers thanks to gravity. The 2nd pouring came out as a complete mess since I forget to brush the mold with vaseline, but came with all fingers since I placed the mold at a 45 degree angle. What you see in the pictures is the 3rd cast. Many of the detail in the mold was lost due the previous attempt, and I also got a lot of air bubbles trapped in and leaving holes here and there. I definitely need to find a degassing chamber.

As for the head, I made some digital mock-ups to see how she will look like with make up and different wigs:

What I need now is to find a degassing chamber and figure out the molding process with minimum silicone loss.

Making a degassing chamber is relatively inexpensive and easy to do. I first started off by buying a "returned" vacuum pump from Harbor Freight for around $60. There was nothing wrong with the pump and my guess is that a customer used it one time to do a refrigeration job and then brought it back for a refund. Then I got a cheap plastic vacuum gauge off Ebay, some high pressure hose, my wife's old pressure cooker, a 1/16" rubber mat for the gasket, connectors and shutoff valve and a square foot of 5/8" acrylic sheet ($20). I probably have $120 in the whole project. So far I've been very pleased with the results which have no bubbles whatsoever.
