Probably a noob question, is the whole weight of the doll supportable by the neck bracket or is the support comming from the legs and the neck just keeping her from falling over?

Excellent thread. I liked seeing this evolve and the upgrades to the original design and liberties taken. I have lots of furniture that is made from wood and this hardware metal piping. It gives an industrial reclaimed look and I would prefer something of this design over the purchased ones anyway. Great idea! Thank you!

Wow, i really appreciate the project pictures. The creative thought put into it is very nice. I just finished a pipe closet rod about a week ago. Time will tell if the screws and boards hold up. The project almost fell on its face when i got a little to anxious and screwed the flange to the walk without having the rest of the pipe and fittings put together. A little perseverance and some wishful thinking got the situation straightened out.

Cool design! Thank you for sharing. I found a hand truck with a bracket screwed to the top works well too.

Here is my stand based off of the designs in this topic.

Made the stand adjustable height with a set screw. No pin holes at various spacing. Ground the inner pipe down one side to clear the weld bead on the outer pipe. Used that flat spot to receive the end of the set screw.

Very nice design. How did you attach neck to hook? Did you put a hole into neck?

Wow this was incredibly clever 👏 I was considering making a stand myself and initially wanted to make it out of wood. 😅 My idea seemed so clunky after reviewing yours. Question. I noticed yours doll has a (hook eye?) from the neck. Did you have to drill into her neck or was that standard for your doll?

Nice work not to throw you off but why wouldn’t you attach a well made bicycle seat that’s adjustable to take a little weight off of the skeleton but not enough for full support? But great work
