WM DOll with Goose Neck Standing Support

Post by abbadon31 »

So my model can stand on her own, but I want to make sure she don't fall over when I'm taking images or have to lean against something. Here is the start of what I'm using to support her. HTT Motorcycle Chromed 1" (25mm) Handlebar Risers Fit 1" handlebars. I have not decided if i want to cut a small slit in the neck or just keep folding it over the neck skin. I can place a longer bolt into the receiver and have her off the wall or place it into my stands receiver and photoshop the stand out. This is not for hanging the doll; its just to support her from tilting over or having to lean against a wall and staining it with TPE/Baby Oil.

Good idea but does this rig increase the visual apparent height of the neck when the head is attached?

Depends on how high you mount it.

WM used to weld nuts on to the frame in key positions for hanging during production. If you push hard enough with your fingers you can find them. I don't know why they don't just weld one good one on there and tell you the location so you can cut a small slit for a bolt to enter. That's what I did for a while anyways. Once you find the nut you can use an exacto knife to cut a tiny slit and connect an eye bolt to it. There is one tour the top center of the back and another around the belly button area in the center of the hip U.

I would not trust that 8mm 1.25 nut the welds on mine is just spot welded and don't seem safe to me.
