Easier way to position eyes

Post by Fotogenic »

I tried something new to make positioning the eyes easier. I put a 10-24 finish washer in each eye socket. Then I load thet half eyeball with polymer clay from the local hobby shop. Next, I shoved a 1/4-20 acorn nut into the clay. Once I put the eyes in the sockets they pivot on the finish washers. Now, it's way easier to move the eyes into position. What do y'all think?

I came up with a pretty simple mod a while back.

Thx Fotogenic, sounds like a very straightforward clever idea that I plan to try. I bet your post would have rec'd more attention if there were pics.

I did a similar but extremely simple mod roughly two years ago.
