MannequinFans updated Easy Move Eye System.

Post by Panther68 »

Hi all,

MannequinFan was kind enough to have Anastasia receive his first pair of his updated Easy Move Eyes.

As you can see, most of the components are within the pedestal base. The eye ball consists of just a semi-sphere. This will allow you to also use factory eyes as they will rest on the pedistal base.

The newer set is just slightly larger, which was good for Anastasia as she has a deeper right eye socket than the left. The eyes move so much easier, since the weight and stability is on the pedestal base rather than the eye ball. If you have any questions, more than glad to answer. MF, I am sure you will chime in, on your newest invention and probably do a much better explantion on it, too. Take care all.

These look awesome. If they fit Jinsan Eyes they should fit Doll 4 Ever too.

I have MF eyes on my WM, SY and Irontech dolls. With this new base and added screws, it looks like a greater range of depth, which is what Anastasia needed as her right eye socket is deeper than her left.

Hey Panther thanks very much for taking the time to post your review!
I'm very glad you like the new system and that it's working well.
I think this is the way we'll go from now on.

I think this will solve the problem with the extreme socket variations since longer screws can be used without affecting the eye movement. Essentially any length of screw can be used now - just needs to be #6 x 32 thread.

You should be able to insert a screwdriver down thru the eyeball into the slot in the pedestal to raise and lower them without taking the eyes out. It can be a little tricky to line up the slots - just let me know if you have any problems adjusting them.
