Oh actually I'm being perfectly factual about the dinosaurs of the doll world that take two years to be produced.

Those dolls are incapable of doing the sort of things that I expect a doll to do for my photography.

Blocks and tackles and chains attaching to a hook on the back aren't my scene and don't allow me to do the sort of things I do.

If Patrick can follow his own lead and import the skeletons to bring his silicone ladies to posable life, his market will expand monumentally and as it will be doing bringing out the TPE versions which can do so.

The important thing about the silicone production is that with foam cores the silicone dolls are lighter weight than their TPE equivalents. So he's in touch with a winning formula.

With import tariffs coming in to the US, it's an opportunity for US manufacturers to take advantage of the economics and be able to produce what the Chinese are producing more cheaply than can be imported. It will make sense to import the skeletons cheaply and build upon those to produce an outstanding product which will put other US manufacturers in the shade.

Next week I'm doing a series of photos with posable skeleton standing dolls as a Chinese Tourist's Guide to London. With a Chinese standing skeleton a Bathing Beauty's Guide to the beaches of wherever would be possible and it's a pleasure to see Patrick having discovered for himself the drama of one of his dolls being able to come to life standing by herself.

As far as his existing production is concerned, his ladies are very superior in their bedroom roles and move as if alive. I believe that only one other brand does this and Patrick is master of his art.

Of all sculptures in my opinion Patrick's are impeccable.

Best wishes

Harem

A import tariff on steel and aluminum into the USA will be on bulk steel. Coils for making flat stock or forming into tubing. Pre-made extruded forms such as angle and I beam, etc. I assume some sort of steel blocks are imported that are remelted for cast items such as motor blocks, etc.

Import tariffs will not be percentage and rate calculated on every product imported that may contain a piece of steel such as toasters, televisions, bicycles, dolls, golf clubs......

The cost of the steel that goes into a 50K car will only be increased by $175.00.
The retail cost of the steel tubing in the USA that goes into a $2K+ dolls frame might be $30.00 and w/ tariff, $33.60. The Chinese probably get the tubing for less than $15.00.
So, import tariffs will basically have no effect on the cost of a doll.

Hope we can get back to admiring Spinner VS international trade and manufacturing debate.

You know you’re smart. You know I know you’re smart. I’m surprised this development didn’t happen much sooner.

Nice!

I agree.

I think US manufacturing would drive advancements and improvements in the TPE formula.

Then I might try a TPE doll again.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I believe the TPE Spinner will be made in China. They already have the tech to do it.

She looks fantastic and this will probably be the smartest thing he ever did. Options are never a bad thing and now PIB can cover the spectrum by expanding their market into the scene that has pretty much taken over, while offering a made in USA product. And on another note, I would love to see the bathing beauty in TPE as well.

I would definitely like to see a taller doll of yours in tpe especially at these prices and the one you did is gorgeous just a bit too small for me.

I'm also interested in breast softness. How naturally do they move? How natural do they feel? A video filmed at normal speed would be ideal... please?
