Recently we start to find out some resellers selling fake 6Ye dolls / inferior quality products sourced from black market. One of them is even our small reseller. If you are suspicious that you get a fake doll, please PM us or send email to global@6yedoll.com . Most of our authorised resellers are still honest and reliable, please let us know if you have any question.

I am still waiting for a doll which I ordered through a Vendor approved by the Doll Forum.
When it arrives how do I know if it is a genuine 6ye doll?
This is my first doll purchase so I don't know what I should look for.
Thanks

It's great that 6Ye maintains such policy to closely monitor the quality of their authorised resellers. It's good for 6Ye to gain trust from the customers! Good job!

This why I suggested an anti-fake scheme to assure the provenance of dolls viewtopic.php?f=87&t=93077 and although I haven't had time to follow this through it's great to see 6YE and their vendors willing to operate it in the manner we see in this thread.

In my view, it's an important aspect of the doll supply chain and a hallmark of all good manufacturers and vendors.

Best wishes

Harem

Yep! I first saw this scam stuff on alibaba.. even with pictures of the 165N that i never saw any where else!! but since i knew that i only get a real high tech 6ye doll from trusted sellers like sexysexydoll i of course went for them.
its mostly false greed that makes you blind for any obvious evidence of fraud and lets you go for half the price .... well nooo ;) ill have to wait until they are back from their well deserved Holidays but its worth and i really only wanted a doll with this nice head connector and the great ball joint skeleton and great TPE softness.

Soo ill be happy to get my doll ;) and great that you monitor whats going arounf and that nobody sells stuff that uses your name!.

There is a store on Aliexpress that claims to be the mfg and that you are his sale agent in HK. Do not know if it were the same person, but there used to be a store on Alibaba and they claimed to be mfg.

Suspect they are not the mfg.

Why do you (6ye) feel compelled to have a reseller? Some of your business competitors (such as DH168) do sell direct from aliexpress. In that business model all you need to do is creating a competent product page at aliexpress. Then, you keep all the profit for yourself and have much higher leverage in price wars.

I, personally, have seen 6ye 166A listed at aliexpress for $810, and almost hit the buy button. If it were $1000, forget about it. $2000? You must be kidding, it just a bunch of pipes covered in rubber with cute shape.

There are hobbies that provide more insight. For example, kitesurfing is about of the same age (and about the same equipment expenses:-). In 2005 one of visionary kitesurfing enthusiasts declared: "we sell direct". With clever marketing (involving sexy kitegirls shots) and correct pricing model his company quickly rose to #1 position. Then, they decided "let's become a premium brand". They raised the prices and now the company is struggling not to file for bankruptcy. And it is not just one example (bikesdirect.com, etc)...
