Normal joints will work just fine.
Please remember a couple things for standing since these dolls knees are not like any other dolls.
First, we suggests a 3rd point of contact.
Second, make sure her legs are straight.

Hmm I don't have a 6Ye doll yet but on my doll her legs must not be straight when she is standing for a pose.Booty Call Dolls wrote:cruz13,

I much prefer she not have to have her legs perfectly straight while standing but I do admit most times she does so as bending one or both knees puts extra pressure on the knee joints and should not be done very often or for very long periods of time , say days on end but can be done for a few hours or maybe a day or two tops.
Seeing the 6Ye have different joints i would most likely elect the tighter joint option as my girls & I like doing it standing a lot too.

Re: Differences between joint tightness
I agree with you.
I am basing my thoughts on real world experience with my 6ye dolls so getting tight knee joints only would be a good option.

Re: Differences between joint tightness
Could you get a doll with normal joints for some, let's say arms and torso, but loose for others, let's say below the waist? (for a doll that wouldn't be stood up/ w/o standing feet)? Or would that request be too much of a pain?
YL 148D (tan)
6YE 161E Cup (natural)
Heads: YL Lori (Frankie), Yuki (Reiko), Renia (Farah)
6YE N17 (Charlie), N24 (Lily), N41 (Rila), X19 (TBD)
All via Booty Call Dolls (Jeff is awesome)
Re: Differences between joint tightness
I don’t see why not; just specify your needs and they should kindly oblige you since dolls are all made to order.MrPointy wrote:Good timing for this thread, because I had a weird thought the other day about joint tightness.

I do recommend the standing feet though, but I see your reasons for wanting it that way.
Cheers
