It was not easy to get her to stand because her feet do not have bolts to "stick" into the carpet so with her legs spread out wide, the hip joints started to spread.
Normally, I start with the doll on the bed in the standing position and grab her behind her waist and have my legs between hers, but in this case, I had only one leg so I could have her legs closer together.
The key IMHO, is to also make sure her knees are locked out especially after you pivot her on her feet.

May I offer one suggestion? Buy a photo lamp bulb to help illuminate your pictures - it's too much work to pose a doll and then deal with the issues of "normal" lighting.
