In that case, you will probably order from Amazon's market place. The third-party reseller on the market place will use dropshipping services from the chinese manufacturer, like any other reseller does. So, it won't help IMHO.
What about the service of DH 168?

@MonAmour

Seriously, if I would be in the same situation than OP, I would react the same or probably worst.

How is it even possible to send a WRONG doll?! The guy who do that need to be fired asap. All doll vendors know it's troublesome to return anything due to international distance and weight/dimensions of the product.

Especially if the photos sent prior to delivery were correct, I don't understand how it can happen. It's not as if you could have the same doll for dozen of customers. Each doll is unique. At Sanhui factory, I even have my full name on a paper right close to the doll.

It's a serious quality issue and, whatever are the quality of the product, if you don't have the one you bought, you don't care about the quality.

I understand his response and I'm not saying he shouldn't be upset. I would be upset if this happened to me but there are protocols that ought to be followed before posting such things here. What I'm saying is:

1. We don't have the whole story here
2. Yes,, things like this can happen with any manufacturer and have
3. For certain people to say that they're not going to order a 6YE because of this is absurd
4. I haven't had any issues like this with my dealings with 6YE
5. I would encourage people to understand this is an isolated case

6YE will correct the situation. I hope that gets as much attention as the original issue.

-is absurd
So reputation risks don't matter. OK...

-an isolated case
And statistics is made of such "isolated cases".

To all here, please be careful with claims against manufacturers and vendors. Please comply to Rule 10. Claims should be supported by evidence. There's no need to post all evidence in public, you may prefer to contact me, or Dali or Brigittes Hubbie by PM.

Unfortunately sometimes things go wrong, and this happens with listed manufacturers and vendors too. Normally they are helping their customers to get things solved. Also, TDF Management is willing to help, for instance by mediation if you and the seller can't get it solved. Contact me or Dali or Brigittes Hubbie and we'll look into it, we contact the seller and if necessary we can even provide a private section at TDF to discuss the situation.

Solving issues is much easier in private than by going public. We strongly recommend to try to solve an issue in private first, by your own or assisted by TDF Management. If you still want to go public, this is allowed as long as it complies to Rule 10 (and Rule 3).

Looks like those were targetted at my comment 8) :

Quite frankly, I'm looking for the 164D since its announcement. The commercial pictures are great but most likely not reliable. The weight and some measurements such as the waist and the underbust are very appealing to me.
As I didn't want to make the same mistake as with my DH168 EVO-170, I wanted to wait for some feedback first. My comment was based on more than one topic, obviously (including zaborg and his struggle)
If I'm right, we now have 5 members that reported having received a 164D in addition to Jeff. All of them went through TDF-approved vendor(s):
- Jeff/BCD: who seems to be happy with his one (congrats!).
- zaborg: The first who reported one. His order was missing standing feet and shrugging shoulder options
- BillMartin9029: The order was missing standing feet, shrugging shoulder and vaginal insert options
- amytyl: The doll is missing the TPE ball at the end of the vaginal canal. Also it seems the ball joints are too loose to keep the doll standing correctly
- b33: He has got a doll with floppy wire wrists instead of the advertized ball-joint ones (and not even a palm plate, just wires, so you can't lean on the wrists!)
- Today we have one more - strange quark: He also has the floppy wire wrists

I understand it is wrong to jump to conclusions too soon, but don't you feel the rate of reported issues with the 164D is a little too high? I'm sure vendors are doing their best and that there might be some compensations negociated with the manufacturer, but issues like the missing standing feet option should just never happen. That's definitely a show-stopper to me, unfortunately. This is just my personnal opinion, of course.

Now, I'm still looking forward for some nice pictures of a (standing) 164D beauty though.
Can you ask some of your 164D customers to share some?

Johnbuhr,
Read and head......
If my best friend can NOT get this doll to stand due to the ball joint knees then I doubt anyone can UNLESS they order extra tight joints.
This is NOT human error
My friend can easily lift her
Could I get my 169 6ye to stand?
Yes
But she was only 75lbs

i can only hope all MFR's read threads like this.

If this was any American business and this was the kind of treatment I got on my visit, you can damn well count on negative feedback coming afterwards.
You place an order, you expect to get what you paid for, anything different is a problem.

I agree with what one said here, with the long shipping delays and costs due to international shipping that is needed, you would figure all QC personal from all MFR would be sure not to let anything slip and fall through the cracks.

Its easy to make a mistake, its also easy to spot that mistake before it leaves your station, its called double checking, a common practice where I am from.

6ye has twice said they were sending me something and sent it to a different person. I'm not surprised by this at all. What's absurd is the amount of complaints that are going on again 6 Wiley but tdf seems to be trying to hide them. I've been having an issue for almost 4 months now and it's still not resolved. I wish the Opie the best of luck but I sure as hell would not recommend this brand to anyone and that is something that needs to be known on a forum guided to help people finding the right doll. You can't pretend everything is sunshine and Roses when there's such horrible mistakes being made

tdn1638,
Key thing is the the 165F still has wired wrists.

ALCON,
If you all knew what really happens behind closed doors, you would know the same bad stuff happens to other mfrs as well.
I had a guy order 4 heads, we got pics, and he got one.
This issue was solved in mediation with a top MFR and it was NOT 6ye
But 6ye has decided not to hide anything unlike most MFR.
They are willing to take the heat.
This was a lack of communication between the factory and the website people.
It was an honest mistake.
For anyone who has scratched off 6ye because of this, you are making a HUGE mistake.
What counts now is how they will resolve the issue.
Best

“We turn dreams into reality”
I'm only dreaming right? You just ordered her. I thought this was supposed to be one of those long slow waits. Now here today is this lovely face. I can't thank you enough. My dreams are never this fufilling.I've been happy and relaxed, knowing she would someday exist. Now that I see her I am jubilant. With respect and admiration for what you do so well
Thanks! BCD has been amazing! As close to bespoke as you're going to get with TPE, it's almost like getting prescription haha! Thorough, sensitive to your needs and limitations, friendly and thoughtful. Flashy websites are no match for a Jeff's one on one service.
Why I chose BCD; Once I found them I spent a couple months on the forums getting a feel for the ‘temperature’ of the industry, community and it’s members and was generally impressed with all the certified manufacturers, vendors, and community members here, many of whom volunteer their time and expertise willingly to any who ask, I’m sure I could have chosen almost any certified vendor and had a satisfactory experience. But for me Jeff and BCD stood out. Firstly he was based here in the US and additionally because I found him to always be informative and helpful - he always seemed to put the extra effort into helping community members to be as informed as possible, whether they were his customers or not, and he also has a great ‘network’ of community members that he regularly works with to provide many extra services to his customers. On top of that I came across several satisfied customers of his on these forums who had given him glowing reviews of their own. So once my decision was made I reached out to Jeff via email and told him what my goals were.
I chose BCD as my vendor because nearly everyone recommended him above all others and his testaments are longer than my Thesis Paper  I wanted the best vendor for my first (and probably only)doll purchase and he surpassed my expectations!... ....I was extremely apprehensive at laying out a paycheck on something I couldn't see or touch in person, but Jeff made the process extremely smooth and stress free. The ONLY time I wouldn't suggest going through Jeff is if he can't get the doll you want...and he can get a hold of damn near all of them! He is extremely dedicated to getting you the lady you want exactly the way you want her. He might as well rename the company Bespoke Companion Dolls as far as I'm concerned. As a doll owner himself, he offered several insights and warnings when I was going through the purchasing process, and I found that extremely refreshing as many salespeople want to sell you a product regardless of the outcome. Jeff has a solid-gold reputation and now I know why!
There are so many great vendors on TDF, but none get testimonials quite like we do!

165F still has wired wrists .... Bummer .... was hoping for the ball jointed wrist on that model:

6YeDoll wrote:
haha it's a difficult question for us. I think not only 6ye but also most manufacturers will probably keep things secret until the last minute to avoid competition.

However, we can assure that we always keep improving our products like we will upgrade our existing models gradually (i.e. we just modified the mould of 165F to fit the 2nd gen head connector and ball-joint wrist). Several bodies are also in the progress. It takes time because our mould artist can't do all the job at the same time but the good news is that we are also expanding, our new factory is now much bigger, hopefully we will get more manpower to speed up our progress.

Been following this thread since my first doll a 165F from 6YE will be shipping soon...
