Very important for portability, hiding, moving. It's worth the sacrifice. I've been doing mannequins for thirty years, and the detachable limbs were a plus, not a minus.

You will lose money. Why only 500? If I had something that was a big seller, I'd sell as many as possible. Keeping it a limited edition is not going to increase the price. They are not Picassos or something with historical significance. Dolls don't sell right away. If a few members buy it, other members will follow. Most people will be afraid to be the first one, for fear of being ripped off. You can destroy the mould after 500 dolls, but you will be the only one losing out on money.

My vague guess is that mold may be not durable enough, and begins to lose details or something after n-th copy.
Anyway I'll wait for next iteration of this doll/technology. Detachable limbs is definitely a show stopper for me.

Could you clarify this? Some here have speculated that the arm and leg joints are not articulated, which would be a major drawback.

It still looks like the thumb is not opposable but just another finger from the same wrist metal bar. Realism is enhanced with graceful hand gestures. If you are going modular, maybe detach the hands.

Maybe just give up on the infamous video and just take regular phone pics of the either, flexible bendable limbs or non bendable , at this point it’s starting to get a bit suspect with the withholding of the proof, I’m interested as well , but you can bet I will not really consider this purchase on a soft verbal confirmation.

How could one just deposit 500 out of just verbal confirmation?

Silicone been around longer than TPE. And will be around long after TPE goes the way of the dodo bird.....
Because TPE is reactive to temperature, not inert, and not hypoallergenic and its porous so it can't be properly sanitized without alot of trouble, silicone will never be a thing of the past.
